Howdy all.

I just wanted to post here and thank everyone who worked on this Restoration Project. I've played through it about 4 times now, and I honestly can't get over how well done and true to the original Fallout 2 it is. Fallout 2 was my favorite of the series, so when I stumbled upon this RP, it was like a wet dream for me. And I seriously went :shock: in the secret level of the EPA.

Not yet.

I'll make an announcement when it happens. I'll probably need additional people too, since some testers don't seem to have the time. If anyone is interested, let me know through pm.
 
Thanks for the swift reply. As much as I'd like to be a beta tester, it would endanger my master thesis to even more humongous proportions than now, so I have to pass :(

A few small artworks need to be made, just to finish off some lose ends. If this is the last (very possible) release of the RP it will be good to give the people a worthy farewell present. So don't worry if you wait just a little longer, it will be worth it. :)

That and scripting work. Haven't had time this week but progress is being made.

Dravean and I have also been discussing changes to the Primitive Tribe. We were never happy with how it turned out and are reworking some of it. It shouldn't delay things too much.

There will surely be a small bug fix release after this to clean up things we missed. But no content changes after this. We're trying to squeeze in the last bits that we can.

Yeah - I think everyone would love an extra female playable character, and one is on her way. As well a "black" player character is being made as we speak (don't quote me on that). :P
 
There is 2% chance for game crash while fighting centaurs. I tested it on 2 different systems, happens only with this creature (both normal and mean version). I haven't tested if game crashes without the RP mod. The bug happens only on hit command.

Update: I edited critters.lst so that centaurs appear as rats and it still crashes. Its some calc error perhaps.
 
Did anyone ever notice that the pig-rat never had an electric death sequence, the boys at BlackIsle never did one. But its been fixed for the RP. The fire-geckos have the same problem. :roll:

It would be cool if something like this was added to Killap's RP, but only triggered after certain event so it wouldn't "mess" with the original game difficulty too much. Like after you beat the game or get a high enough level or discover Vault 13 or I dunno :)

Awesome! Are the fixed gecko frames already included? I honestly don't remember.

Yeah, that's a no. I still got some good laughs out of that thread. It would be quite the encounter.

Didn't notice about the rats, or noticed and forgot. But I always assumed that the fire geckos were immune to certain kinds of death because of, you know, the fire and stuff.

Upon further reflection, I wouldn't be surprised if the animator tasked with this, back in the day, used a similar excuse to justify not doing the animations... :)

Speaking of which, love all the lovely animations and artwork you've done, .Pixote.. Most admirable dedication indeed!

Thanks, games as good as this deserve some love and attention. I think RP 2.2 will be something pretty special. 8-)
