Great.. As soon as I climb up the stairs in the Hubologists base, the game crashes. :( I feel like I've had this before, long time ago.

Too bad that my 2nd latest save is about 2 months away (in game time of course! :p ).

Post a save game, please; otherwise there's really no way anyone can help track down the bug, if any.

My opinion on F1 music in F2RP: An optional mod would be nice, but it would seem to be beyond the scope of the RP.

it seems there is an issue with the Abbey water pump quest in the latest beta.

when you speak to the merchant about the pump, then investigate, the popup screen does not go away forcing a reload of the game from desktop. thus, i can not do the quest.

SPECS:
win 7 64bit

FRP Miria is installed (RP Miria is useless, as intended)

a few cheats were added (via F2se) to make the game faster for testing. nothing very over powering.

EDIT: how does one upload a save slot?
EDIT AGAIN: figured it out.

SAVE FILE: http://www.filedropper.com/slot01

from this point... just talk to the merchant and see what happens.

Regarding the apostrophes stuff:
Whichever is the most consistent way.

I will skim through the *msg files to see if I will find some more grammar/spelling errors. I know they are there. :D

Great. I just sent the results off to @Killap. Per my summary to him:

Almost all single- and double-quotes should be using the correct glyphs and facing the "right way" now.

And yep, that's a lot of quotes.

Had that occur to me as well from time to time. For me the error usually disappears if you change zone or rest a bit, have no idea as to why though.

Typo report:
Athabaska Dick in Redding answers to "Dick, what do you do here?" with "I work a spell now and then here at the Morningstar. They can always used experienced help."

Also I can't seem to get the quest to go find Jonny in Modoc. Mom's sobbing, but nobody asks me to go find 'im.

Edit 2: some kids at the Ghost Farm with the Slags have Klamath floats and talk about Torr

Hey! I'm starting to play Fallout 2 again since a long time ago and I have never tried this Restoration Project mod before. Would you suggest me to start off with this latest version (2.2 beta) or go with the 2.1.2b and wait till the 2.2 is final?

I'm worried of running into bugs that might stop or block my gameplay/story completion/quests but i'm interested if the 2.2 beta offers some new features/additions compared to the 2.1.2b

PS. I already installed the "unofficial f2 patch" by Killap. It shouldnt interfere with this mod right?

It's better to stick with one or the other, mixing up the mods can result in buggy games. The best way to play the RP is with a clean install, and just that Mod, nothing else. I would grab 2.2 beta, it's fine to play, but please read the notes first.

Alas it looks like I was not able to sit down this past weekend and get to much needing RP modding. Taxes and and work kept me away.

Anyway, I'll make the time for all this.

In regards to the music discussion, I have no plans for this in any form. Out of the scope of the RP.

I appreciate the various reports that have been submitted and I'll get to them when I can. And big thanks to you, merenbach, for going through the text files to correct inconsistent quotation marks. I got your email, but I haven't yet gone through it.

Hang in there everyone. :)

Bug report:
I discovered that in Broken Hills when you beat the brainy scorpion in chess and it attacks, but you run away and disengage from combat - you can have the smarts test again and gain XP that way indefinitely, 500 points at a time.

You can also steal its tail while still alive. Pretty funny, probably unfixable (it's considered it's weapon), except you make him unstealable somehow, I don't know if it's possible.

Let it always face the player...

I have a small idea you could add to the game (if it's possible).

Make it that when you reload your weapon, you have a reloading animation. Those animations are there, but they are used as default idle animations.

There's already an option for that in ddraw.ini.
Code:
;Set to 1 to force the player to play the idle animation when reloading their weapon
PlayIdleAnimOnReload=0

BTW, Killap, I am quite sure this had been reported already, but what about the perk that immediately promotes you to next level? I think it;s supposed to give you exp. points as well, but it doesn't. Otherwise, I don't see any sense in that perk. Sorry if somebody had already bugged you with this question.
