I redownloaded the file and now it works, I think previous file was corrupted. Thank you for help
Awesome, glad that was the problem. Enjoy and do post any other issues you come across. Be sure to provide savegames/screenshots though!
@everyone:
I'm in the process of plowing through the bug reports on here and the wiki. I'll also be testing the installer on every version of F2 I can get a hold of (GOG, Steam, F2 1.0 CD, F2 1.02 CD) Since the Russian translation is a bit of a way off, I'll most likely release this minor update before then. As for other translations, I'm in contact with various people about German, Czech, etc. If you've contacted me already and I haven't gotten back to you, don't fret, I'll get to you!
But yeah, waves of updates here and there is not what I had planned (cause I'm done ya know
), so once the Russian one happens, don't expect anything until the next translation is done. And the translations will be up to the teams, I don't have time to baby sit. So if you want more updates, make sure to poke the translators. Or get Pixote to make new graphics.
EDIT: Some comments on reports made in this thread without save games:
When you come with Sulik to his tribe nothing happens, as i remember in 2.1.2 there was script of his movement and dialogs with tribe chief. Maybe i'm wrong, but he just stays in bottom of the map, and all you can do is talk to him twice with "Ok." option and than "Ok. Come with me".
Do you have a save game or can anyone confirm this? Nothing in the code stands out to me that would cause this to happen.
I'm playing the restoration project as a female character. As a result I can't cure Fannie Mae of her addiction.
Well it's a male only quest; you can't do *everything* in the game with every build. Unless you're saying that as a female you can begin helping her, but can't finish it.
Also, I took the quest from the vault village and then went straight to Gecko and talked to Brain. As a result, McClure acted as though he had heard of the issue before and discussed it with me, even though he hadn't.
Save game would be nice.
Remember people, save games allow me to quickly see and fix the bug. If you just state a problem, then I'm basically not going to fix it (unless it's obvious in the script/msg file) because I don't have the time to play through the game a billion times. I spent thousands of hours making this for you all, please at least spend the extra minute bundling up a save game.
