Fallout 2 mod Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.3 (Unofficial Expansion)

Came back with Bishops assissination quest. Now I would like to tell Westin that Bishop sent me and I'm willing to cut a deal. I know for 100% certainty this was possible in the vanilla game. However, try as I might, with what ever savegame I load I can't talk to him or Felix about this. Anybody have any ideas why this might be? What do I need to do to trigger this dialogue?
From Westin's script it's still the same as in vanilla: take Bishop's assassination quest and don't get the counteroffer yet.
 
I'm playing this release for the first time, and found a few map bugs...:look: I'll sort them and message you Killap.

Well thats exactly the situation I'm in. I have the quest from Bishop with no counter offer from Westin. Are there any charisma checks or anything like that (my charisma is 2, but my speech is high)? Also is it poosible that my previous interaction relating to the vault city quest line might have overriden this dialogue option? I did have the Bishop quest at the time but only talked to him about Lynette's holodisc.
 
I hope to actually start modding work again this weekend. I say this so you don't think I popped in a week ago just to disappear for several more months. ;)
I hope you'll start with teh easy stuff, there are A LOT of bad stuff there so it's better to begin with something simple. ;)
 
Sorry if this question is stupid, since i'm still really new to actually altering FO2, but is the 2.3.3 source script download come with everything you need to recompile the scripts successfully? I've installed openwatcom as mentioned in the readme and changed the line in p.bat to point it at the correct location of the watcom executable("C:\WATCOM\binnt\wcc386" temp.c /pc /fo=temp.i /w4) but running buildall.bat doesn't seem to compile them or something? At least none of the .int's 'date modified' changes which is the normal indicator that something was actually done, and this was in the err.log: ERROR: DCTHUG.ssl ERROR: EPA3.ssl ERROR: MCBALWIF.ssl ERROR: MCKARL.ssl ERROR: NCFIGHTR.ssl

Is there something else I must do first? Mainly want to figure out how to do it incase I feel like trying to integrate some other minor mod/make minor alterations into it using winmerge/grep sometime in the future.

Regarding the VC endings with RP:

I've fixed the Gecko powerplant, made them ally with Vault City (peacefully), destroyed the Raiders and delivered Bishop's holodisk and account book to Lynette. Now she wants me to deliver a holodisk to Westin in NCR but I haven't done it yet.

My question is, how do I get the "Vault City joins NCR" ending? I have consulted the wiki page and it says that I have to do the entire VC questline and pick the reward from Randal to get the desired ending. However, on this forum, someone claimed that Killap fixed this "bug", so the method listed on wiki doesn't work anymore (I also couldn't find anything about this being fixed in the RP changelog, or maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough. :?).

So what do I do? Kinda unsure at this point. I assume I just don't deliver those love letter holodisks from Lynette to Westin and vice versa so I get the ending I want?

Yes, you need to deliver those holodisks between Lynnete and Westin you also CAN'T kill Westin (Last time I played, I wanted the good ending for NCR/VC, but I killed Westin for Bishop)
 
Im sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but fallout 2 rp being such a big overhaul of the game the walkthroughs probably give the wrong information.
but what are the best percent number to have your skills at like 150 for small guns and the other weapons skills and the non weapons skills it is a waste to go above 100. Or is this more or less the same

... I really wish there was a way to completely skip temple of trials right from the start.

You have been able to do that for a long time!
Look for the following line in ddraw.ini:

Change to:

Yeah, you're right. From Fallout wiki:

4. VC joins the NCR Requirements: Fix the power plant, kill the raiders and bring the Account Book or Bishop's Holodisk to Lynette. (This ending is given if not getting 2 for any reason, e.g. Westin is dead or the reward picked up.)

So opposite of what I said should be true :smile: You have to kill Westin. I wanted the "canon" ending, where Westin marries Lynnete (at least with New Vegas continuity, I think), but I got this one.
 
Killap, I firmly believe this community has thrived in part by your efforts to make an amazing game even more spectacular. I'm about to do another run with your latest update. Keep on keepin' on! ;)
 
Error 0x129400

this error happens to me whenever i open the game
you are trying to use sfall with an incompatible version of fallout
was expecting"fallout 2 v1.02US"
fallout 2 restoration project fallout2.exe was an unexpected size.expected 0x122800 but got 0x129400
i downloaded it from here,I use the installer version,don't have any mods installed,although the installer replace exe,it says it is incompatible,it is strange.I gave windows 7 and directx9 installed(of course)when i remove ddraw.dll the game works but i want sfall to work.thanks in advance.
