Fallout 2: Shattered Destiny

Did you converted it in proper way? If not, show me one of the original renders (but don't save it as .jpg) I'll try to convert it.

If you converted in proper way and effect is still shitty, try to play with the lights (there's an option in Poser to adjust them).

What do you mean with proper way?

I have every animation frame in *.png format. The size is 800x800px. I cuted out the background, resized the image and copy&pasted into one of the other talking head images, so that the image uses the same color palette. With this way, the first head was also generated.

With the new one I played a long time with the light. It wasn't really easy. At least it was really annoying because I couldn't recreate the light position of my first try.

I explained it somewhere here...

You can render the head in 1:1 - no need to scale them later. Try to apply first FO's palette (through PS) to the renders before conversion to FRM.

The first head looks much better than final.

Well, really nice work, Lexx!
I have one only complaining. It's that when things begin to get really exciting, the first part ends. :(
Will the following parts of your mod be as short as the first one?
Also, will I be able to use the same character from the first part, or will I have to create a new one?

Keep up the good work!

No, the second chapter will be much longer. I have several (new) quest ideas and so on, that I can use very well in the next part, because now I use a real worldmap and the player is not only in one location. In SD I got really fast problems with not enough free room. That's also the reason, why the town is a little bit oversized on a small place.

For the character thing... at the moment it will not be possible to use the old character in SD2 because of the heavy changes (worldmap, etc).

I downloaded 'Shattered Destiny' as an experiment, to see if I could get multiple mods running. The experiment worked, and now I am infected with another mod I was never prepared for!

No, I was so disturbed I didn't do anything in this world yet. Little girls actually look like little girls! Badass looking dude in combat armor with a bald head like Cassidy! I am in awe!

This is truly awesome! I want to know more!

Just finished it (English version 1.1.00 on a fresh Humongous install) and it was great! As fun as the original fallout!

A few bugs encountered:
1) People in the Garynol (sp?) underground area still complain about the fact that "someone should fix the lights" even after I've fixed the generator.
2) If I've tried to talk to Bene after completing the Flower quest, I got an Error conversation; I had to reload.
3) After the fight in the church some corpses of those killed in combat got stuck in walls and thus I couldn't loot them.
4) Natalie uses male graphics.
5) The pistol you find on the guy playing Russian Roulette has 6 rounds in it while it should be empty (it had only one round, and the poor bastard shot it into his head).

Yo!

about the mod it's pretty annoying to go again and again all that way from Cathedral region thru the outside/maine part of map thru the shelter and then finally crossing the bar to Bene...

Above all GREAT JOB!!!!!!! few ours of puure FALLOUT :D THX bro! oohhh and also i would forget i have some ambient music for You i think it would fit perfectly to your mod. (and by the way one question.... on your site there is a soundtrack..... when i was playing i heard standart f2 music does it correct ? )

cheers!

First of all great mod, can't wait for the next episodes :D

But now I'm at the part after you get knocked out and you're in the cell. The guy in the cell tells me to be quiet and then the guard starts to move but he just stays in front of the woman's cell, is this supposed to happen..?

edit:
Nevermind I replayed it and made a few different choices in the dialogue and it worked good :P

Three screens - just to show, that I am still working on it (Shattered Destiny 2 - working title). :)

Old gas station near the town Heap:

A really small part of the Traderfalls sewers:

But there is something more to say. If you know Fallout good - and I bet it - you will see a new button on the interface. Curious about it? Well, it is a new and nearly 96% working button with that you can open MrFixit to craft items. At the moment we are working on the other 4% to make it perfect. If we are ready with that, I will release a small teaser video for this too so that you can see, that it is really possible. ;) /Edit: I forgot to say.. we are really proud of that. Heh.

I am also busy with working out my design docs a bit more. So the -big- story isn't fully written yet, but I have a good image in my mind... and I can promise, the story will be better than in SD1.

Please feel free to comment everything. :)

Do you have your mod (Shattered Destiny German Version 1.3.00)

Russian or English localization?

If someone wants to translate it, a russian version is possible. (From english to russia or german to russia)

Hmm.... will be Shattered Destiny 2 part of SD1 or it will be alone?

It will be alone. The story takes part approx one year after SD1 and approx 3 months before the vault dweller starts his journey. (October 2161)

@Continuum: Thanks. :)
Yes, I also like the sewers so far. When I am done, they are approx 8 maps big. You do not need to explore everything, but if you do, you maybe find some nice surprises.

Now in the shiny afternoon, I can see shit on the "Sewers" screen, but I'm happy about the "Traderfalls town art". Quite easy, very cool, very effective.

You are not allowed to watch screenshots in the shiny afternoon! :falloutonline:
Here it is raining at the moment, so everything ok with the ambient lightning. :)

The townmap was approx 2 days of work for me. I happy with the finished image too and hope, that I can do the same kind with the other townarts too.
