edit: Now of course women aren't exactly a minority group but they're still getting all kinds of unneeded shit just because they're women. (and have been getting shit throughout the history) I just had to write this to make sure my point wasn't attacked in this regard. well, there is a difference between saying "you're dumb, do some research" and saying "you're a woman, you don't know shit about games". I think the latter hits a bit harder.

I never understood the beauty of picking on those that you consider weak. especially when it's a woman. women are wonderful and we should all be thankful there are actually women as nerdy as any of us.

Issues like these ignore the fact that the Heroine Shiek woman is an incompetent journalist who failed to do even the most basic research before writing her piece. I really don't care if you're woman or man at that point, you're going to get internet-burn and you'll have deserved it. Feminism certainly shouldn't mean sheltering people that suck at their job.
