Fallout 3 ending videos

Someone who finished the game will have to answer that, but I'm thinking the location clips are there, just not in these videos.
I've finished the game in 10 hours and there are none location clips in the end.

Also i picked up the Explorer perk and there're a LOT of locations in the game, i've not found even 30% of them while going through the main and side quests.

Upd. Checked it a second a go. Even watched the dumb credits till the end. No clips after the ending video.

i'm still debating if i should look at them or not. (i read the text about it though, since it's not like i'm in a hurry to play the game and i'm not really expecting to be dazzled by the high quality new content)

Bethesda before release: There will be more than 200 endings, possibly 1 BILLION!

Bethesda after release: The endings were so many and so ahead of their time that we had to remove them all. Sorry.

Boy this is a mess! I hope somebody out there can fix all of this.
Yes I do believe in the power of mods. Just don't know how much of it can be saved.

Probably not much. Going by Oblivion, fixing quests is both increadibly time consuming and difficult plus with the whole everything is spoken impossible to do seamlessly. I would imagine it would be years if ever before we begin to see better quests.

Just beat the game about 3 minutes ago.
Turns out you can combine the Coward and Corrupt endings.
[spoiler:2d694cdfab]I had my evil character insert the virus, then sent Sarah to her death. :D Oh how the wheel turns.[/spoiler:2d694cdfab]

Oh, btw, I give the game a 6/10. It was fun, but the fact it was called Fallout greatly perturbed me. I first played FO 1 when I was 15 when it came out, and this game just doesn't do justice to that epic. Not only that, but in some of the reading (terminals and nostalgic info) was off from the originals and had its own spin to it, which I did not enjoy.

One more thing that annoyed me also was the complete copying of the Maxson journals. I mean, come on, I read about all that in the first 2 Fallouts. They didn't really add any new lore, and messed up the old.

Aaahhh! So they're pulling another "Morrowind books in Oblivion libraries" thing, huh? That's an especially cheap trick since they didn't even write the Maxson journals. I'm sure that's probably the best writing in Fallout 3. Actually, based on what I've read, and screenshots I've seen, I'm *sure* it's the best writing in the game.

Also: This thread has made me absolutely, utterly sure I won't ever buy, rent, or even play (like at a friend's house) Fallout 3. The more I read about it, the less I want to even see it. This is just another demotion for the game- I'd already said "Not even renting it." Now it's "not even going to play it for shits n' giggles."

Though I might end up watching it, if that's what a friend is playing. And I'll just laugh and laugh. Well, laugh in that "This is so sad and disturbing that if I don't laugh, I'll cry and have a mini-breakdown."

To be honest, it was up there with the best. I think the next closest thing that was actually created by Beth was....
MAJOR SPOILER!
[spoiler:c294fe3170]In vault 67, towards the end of the game, you get to read alot about the EEP virus. And while it makes no sense in the original canon, the reports and diary entrys I thought were well written and informative, even though I didn't agree with the whole "Hey! We are making super mutants in a vault after the bombs dropped! On the East Coast! With FEV! Even though we have no relation to Westek at all!" lolz[/spoiler:c294fe3170]

It's very sad that the some of the most blatant canon rewrites are also some of the best writing in the game. Emil probably had something to do with that. I hear good things about Emil.

His dialogue sounds like a born-again christian judging how you played the game, to be honest. Greed, Deceipt, sacrifice, virtue?!! Gimme a damn break!

It's Oblivion right down to the repressed Christian values that are imposed upon the character.
No kidding, I was disgusted to hear that shit, least of all in a Fallout game.

There are some strange, ugly-looking items that are called 'pre-war book' or something. They can be sold, they can be tossed away in some crazy havok fun but they're unreadable - just some additional brick-like junk to clutter space... What's the point of putting such items into game is beyond my reasoning? Oh, they probably could be used as an ammo to Rock-It Launcher [haven't made one yet]. Wasn't be better to simply put some more coffee mugs or cans into the gameworld?

Why those book are 'unreadable'? If they're 'pre-war' why not put into them some fragments of old, classic literature, poems... etc.?

Well, maybe those 'books' would be nice to make some 'Domino Day' movies like those made for Oblivion.

This popped up in my mind this afternoon but could someone perhaps the lines of the FO3 ending with those of the Kirk and Spock scene at the end of Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan.

I realized that is what the ending reminded me of.

I turned up the difficulty to Very Hard and the combat is still laughably easy.

I think a common theme Fallout 3 has is weightless-ness From the physical animations, to something less literal like the dialogue and moreover, consequences, I get an impression that no matter how I play my character I can't get weighed down by my actions or choices.

The dialogue is so contrived and fluffy I find almost all of the characters I've encountered for the most part, easily forgettable. There is a disconnect between my character and the world. Soulless would be an apt word. I'm not very impressed so far.

The Fallout games are like a warm pumpkin pie. You know how you go over to your grandmas house to taste her special pumpkin pie recipe? Fallout 1 and 2 comprised of the perfect recipe for the Fallout universe. Make a few substitutions here or there, remove an ingredient or two, it still tastes fine, its not the signature pastry you've come to love from your grandma but its usually acceptable. In this case, Bethesda has managed to turn my pie into a cake but still assured me that my grandma had baked it with all her heart.

Nor ammo. Remember? Ammo's weightless now. Lulz to be had.

Neat little metaphor. Let me get your opinion: Does it feel like grandma baked Bethesda's "Fallout pie?" Just askin'.

It did for a brief period simply because it was pretty much all I was hearing.

I actually had a similar experience. Though the illusion ended quite a few months ago. After those E3 videos, I realized two things: One, this was not Fallout. Not just "my" Fallout, which is meaningless, but *any* Fallout. It is a generic PA FPS shooter with RPG elements, with some "brand name" elements from Fallout in it.

Second, even as a RPG, the game was a failure. The lack of ANY preview videos showing dialogue (yes, despite claims to the contrary, you *can* run a good dialogue preview; Bethsoft itself did an OK job with their heavily scripted- yet still convincing- Oblivion videos about Radiant AI.)

Since Fallout 3 was supposed to be an RPG, you'd figure that a company making a game in that genre would be willing to show off the writing in their games. But.. nope. So I assumed (rightly, unfortunately,) that the game would only be worse than the previews indicated. So no pie for me.
