Hurrah! Another bumper crop of dipshits.

Wow your ire and dedication to the core Fallout is impressive and thrilling.

While some people may be turned away by your dedication to those core ideals and your passion for them, I am thrilled to see your well referenced responses.

I don't understand how someone could play Fallout 1 or 2 and then play TES and think that the people behind TES could ever begin to comprehend what made the core fallout special.

I love FPS and many other repetitive genre's but I will not go quietly into the night when it comes to the core Fallout. It represented everything that publishing companies these days are enemies to. I mean, we have been getting some awesome games these days that are more of the same, but still enjoyable...but none has come close to the depth of enjoyment and strategy as the core Fallout series.

I'm hoping we might get closer to that with Mass Effect, but I'm not holding my breath.

Now Pete may say that he loves fallout 1 and 2, but I also bet that the people working on Shadowrun FPS also say they love the core Shadowrun...doesn't prevent them from making a bastardization of the IP. I find it funny that in the one PnP campaign I played of Shadowrun in college, Bill Gates was the ultimate enemy...I can add pretty much every other massive publisher to that list...they are the ultimate enemy to gamings glory days.

EDIT:

What happened to Roshambo...our little deathclaw?

Mass Effect is a revolutionary game, and I'm sure it will be even better than Fallout. After all, what other game lets you play a retard?

Also:

"Casey Hudson: Yes, all of Shepard's lines are fully voice-acted, so if you create a female character her lines will all have voice as well. It's actually quite interesting to replay a section of the game as one gender and then the other, to hear how differently you perceive the story when hearing your lines as a male or female character."

Replayability redefined!

No way that is a real screenshot.

No.

Way.

That one almost beats the Codex screenshots of ME in pure stupidity.

What you mean Mentok? I wasnt away ... just lurking and paying a bit less attention to whats going on :P

btw

In Mass Effect you discover information about an ancient race of mostly evil robots that was responsible for destroying galactic civilization roughly 50,000 years ago in a horrific cycle that resembles a "harvest" of organic life - and they're about to return! This storyline creates many questions like "evil robots?", "horrific cycle?", "harvest of organic life?", "return?" which, hopefully, will be answered in the third game.

Umm, yeah, that pic may be true.

I'm pretty sure that the picture is true, since it's from the bioware site itself. Which is pretty frightening.

It's funny how crpg's have gone back to their roots. Except this time around, it's the players who don't have enough memory or processing power to handle complex dialogues.
