Fallout 3: official teaser trailer announced

You know what the problem with that music is? Honour. It drips red-hot beads of it.

There's no honour in Fallout. Honour got put on life support when the first Canadian rebel got shot, then died silently in the night as the first bomb hit dirt, blooming into a fireball of pain.

There's not honour when all faith and institutions are dead. There's no honour in barely surviving. And there's no honour in killing a child-murder with a diesel-fuelled flame thrower you pulled off of a dead soldier. There's just firery, unforgiving justice.

Honour? Fuck off. My wife miscarried her last three children, deformed freaks all of them, because of leaders who believed in that stuff. All honour does is send young kids to die in bars, fighting for their pride with a knife in a gun fight.

Give me a shotgun, some power armour, and two packs of radaway, and I'll take out those raiders for you - but don't you dare call me honourable.

Reading a little bit too far into things, I think.

I don't really feel much "honour" coming out of that music anyway. And there is honour in Fallout. You as the PC can do honourable things. Saving Tandi from the raiders, for instance.
 
Hi, can someone tell me at exactly what time of day does the day counter change on fallout.bethsoft.com ? I think its some midnight at some us timezone, but thats not midnight here in Hungary, and I dont want to stay up all day waiting for the counter to change ( I mean I want to, just cant, cuz I have a job ). Ijust want to know when will I get to see that traiser.
 
The counter changes at midnight, but the art and trailer are only placed online later on, at 15/16/17 PM CET

Zenimax doesn't throw its corporate websites off-line because some trailer for a game they're creating is coming up.

It's been placed around 4.30 PM (or maybe 4.20 PM) CET time.
(whihc basically means that the time Maryland is about 10.00-10.30 AM, so it is one of the first thing they do after checking
in and having coffee and such).

On a totally unrelated note ;) -- socratex200X answered a question about Plato and Fallout. Very interesting read, didn't understand much of the answer, though :?: But that's probably my fault 8) :roll: :shock: :o

In more related news ;) --- the new concept art seems to be a very big disappointment, even to me. I had high hopes for this week's concept art, but - meh --- it just looks sort of nice, bland & generic. And could be a generic post-apoc image of any building, really. Let's just hope that this concept art just is used to describe the setting in the game, not actual content in the game. (and if it is the content in the game will look visually different from the concept art...)

And yes, I agree, that honour sort of went out the window (or rained away in the Fallout rainstorms :( ) when the bombs fell and the Canadian soldier got shot.

We'll never know what happens when we can only see the worldmap. Perhaps some of the encounters were less then unpleasant. ;)

That music...

Yes I know others have already commented, but the official website music has me very worried.

The music, while acceptable if you like Dvorak, the LOTR series Oblivion or other 'epic' games and movies, it does not fit at all in the Fallout universe, unless it is used as a spoof.

If this music is indeed the title music for Fallout 3, we are screwed as we will get a Fallout game in title only.

EDIT: I finally nailed it! This track is PERFECT music for that awesome Kevin Costner movie, "Waterworld!"
 
So, the trailer comes out tomorrow, right? It's either going to be the most awesomest thing ever, or everyone's going to have that same sinking feeling Miami Dolphins fans had after the draft.
 
the anticipation is killing me. its 1126 pm here in michigan and im hoping i dont have to try and sleep tonight and wait till the morning to get the first look at FO3
