Fallout 3: Skills and Perks

I don't know, but it would be fairly stupid if an evil person can get the perk.

Yes it would. But why should we assume it's not stupid rather than take it for the face value?

It's nothing like good ones are one faction and bad ones the other. If you are a person without moral dilemmas, you shouldn't care who do you kill if there is money for it.

I agree with you to some degree, but just like there's nothing wrong with seeing a stupid summer movie even though it's not The Godfather, there's nothing wrong with play a simple FPS. And they're even some really good FPSes depite their lack of innovation. COD4's campaign was nothing new, but there are certainly great moments in it. At least that game doesn't have stupid shit like cutting fingers off for XP and karma and paedophile perks.

The problem lies in the fact what people are hyping as the best. Stupid summer movies are fun, but if the Ads are all saying it's the next "The Godfather" then we have a right to be pissed when it's not.

Sadly most people aren't reacting to that in the games and as a result the quality in games keeps going down except of course the graphics.

I've got a silly question here - any idea whether they've completely got rid of traits? I haven't heard/seen anything about them yet. Just wondering if you get them still, or perhaps get perks as you're going through the 'stages' of your character's life, like when he gets his first PIPBoy and the like?

Sure, it's no game-shattering thing per se, but I was just curious...

traits are gone. the "traits" they've kept from the old games (only Bloody Mess as far as I know) are now perks.

Why was bloody mess a trait anyway? It didn't have any disadvantages IIRC

Because it didn't have any advantages either, it was just for flavour. Would have been a bit harsh to give it a downside besides making looting tedious in some cases.

Or it had this downside that it made you die in horrible ways. Depends on how you roll B)
