Fallout 3: Tools of Survival

They're probably not using bloody mess in this video, I like it!
It doesnt look excessive, and they're not highlighting the violence wich makes it subtle and natural.

Yeah agreed.

I like the hunting rifle a lot, and the machine gun. The flamer looks OK, not my type of weapon. The power fist is awesome though (from the Super Duper Mart video).

Hmm, I wonder how long before there is a mod that replaces the Bethesdian weapons with ones modeled after the actual game series its supposed to be based on.

It looks ok to me. Don't know how much will use the makeable weapons. However, I really hope you can target the fuel pack on someone using a flamer and blow them sky high.

And in regard to weapon appearance. I think they are mostly holding similar to the originals except for the laser, though I think it might be a plasma weapon by how it operates, but irregardless. The weapons look fine to me.

What do you mean?
The weapons don't look at all like the original counterparts.

I said they looked similar. The SMG actually looks a lot like the original, I haven't seen the pistol, but have read on this site that it holds true to the original design. The mini gun, looks like it resembles the avenger from FO2.

The hunting rifle, doesn't look like the originals, but I think it actually does a better job of fitting the bill.

The Flamer--looks completely different, but conceptually, it works better for me.

The laser--not so much unless it is actually a plasma pistol...then maybe.

The power fist is different, but not to such a degree that I would say it doesn't resemble its predecessor.

well its a different engine afterall hence i would asume a step away from the icons of older games.

Kinda like the weapons, just retro enough to blend in. Even the mini- nuclear luncher sounds like fun as long the ammo will be limited, despite what some purists say :P

Some purists say it's absolutely ridiculous you have to shoot Behemoths several times with the nuclear catapult to kill them.

Whoops, spoilers.

Yes, because clicking my mouse and seeing things blow up is SO much fun. That's what I do when I'm seeing an action movie: I get my mouse and click it. It spice things up so much.

That goes back to the extremely limited ammo and awesome damamge mod I want for the nuke-gun...

I will look for a mod that totally removes this crappy weapon though, including exploding cars, teddy bears, jazz hand zombies, drinking from toilets...; man this mod will be what?2 gig.?

Meh, the only thing that stood out in the video for me was:

At least Max's constipated face looks more expressive than that:

lol LowComDenom!

The guy from Obli.. ehm FO3 looks like a zombie, or he is very tired...

I liked the submachine gun and hunting rifle. They retained a realistic look and though I feel the loss of the chunky versions in the previous Fallouts they still worked, looked and sounded cool (unlike the 10mm pistol which sounds like a cap gun).

The flamer looks alright though the industrial looking version from the previous games looked so much more badass.

The railroad rifle is still pretty stupid, but it does make the same sound penny arcade's fruit fuckers do which is cool.

Laser pistol sets people on fire? Gonna agree with above posters, that sounds like a plasma pistol.

The shotgun is really badly designed, the ejection chamber for the cartridges is behind the clip and the clip is so far away from the firing pin the shot would likely go about 2 feet. Though someone has already pointed that out in a previous topic.

In Fallout 3 why would a chinese sword (or any Chinese weapons) be in DC as the battlefront was confined to Alaska and Canada?

Spoils of war? Some of my friends, who fought in Iraq, have brought back guns, ammo, knives, and etc.

Did he bring back any dead Iraqis still clutching those items?

I think the Chinese were present in D.C. in BethCanon Fallout.

I don't think so, then again he might have.

I am not sure how the abundance is hard to explain, since we really do not know if there is an abundance. There could be only a few lying around, but who knows the game isn't out yet.
