Fallout 4’s Character System

The most telling thing about Bethesda's dislike for choice and consequence has been the removal of traits. That was what drained most of my confidence in Fallout 4, along with the perk system.

I'm assuming that Fallout 4 will still have choices and consequences, just very few and shallow in that the different outcomes to a particular quest don't branch to affect the outcomes of others (like in Fallout 3). This way, the player can do almost everything.

It'll be like Fallout 3's "I'm disappointed in you son for nuking that town" and Mass Effect 3's "PICK YOUR COLOR" had a rainbow colored baby, but they knew that people hate rainbows, so they bleached it black and white.

How many choices/consequences were in Skyrim really? There was who you back in the civil war, and whether or not you kill the friendly dragon, but for the most part it was all "do you do the thing or not"?

I mean you're not saying Diablo 2 has 400 skills because each skill can be leveld up 20 times.

No one is saying that because each class has 30 skills that can be levelled up 20 times, which means 600 skills per class. And with 7 classes(with the expansion) that is 4200 skills. And since skills are now perks Diablo 2 has 4200 perks you can select on level up(you can access more perks with equipment).

Just like politics isnt it? Playing around with words till they suit you. Ignore reality.

Todd Howard should go into politics. He has the skills needed.
