Fallout 4 announced with official trailer

Infinite is deep and amazing... If you don't really read often and don't care about things like pacing, internal consistency or good characterization. Not to mention good level design or good gameplay. But I digress...
It makes for a fine sTory, though not as good as the original games. But yeah, it's not a great "game".

I'd laugh so hard if the Enclave was one of the 'beloved' factions in Boston

...we, the player, know they're scumbags, but for all we know, they've been portraying themselves as the good guys to the people of Boston for who knows how long

Questline that involves unearthing the Enclave's Dirty laundry and turning the city against them; or has that already been done in Fallout 2?

Realistically, there are going to be splinters and leavings for a generatin or two. The death of a widespread high-tech organization isn't going to immediately erase their personnel and equipment from the wasteland. The question is how much focus Bethsoft chooses to put on them.

Autumn's right out, though, I think, unless his magical antidote syringe also cures having your skull exploded. (Yeah, they technically left the door open for mercy with him, but it's so out of keeping with the way they wrote the rest of the storyline that it would be an unbelievable cop-out.)

Well, the Wanderer was raised with heavily Christian values... who said they didn't turn the other cheek? And besides I fell if Bethesda has some decent writing a conversation with him would be interesting.

Three Dog is often cited as one of FO3's best characters. I disagree, so if he ever makes an appearance in FO4, the first thing I'm going to do is club the shit out of him with one of those modded baseball bats from Diamond City. I don't care if he's essential, I'll use a mod or make one.

Meh, com on guys, you had the Enclave in F2, you had the Enclave in F3, it's DLC and some of them in Vegas.

Let's give them a rest I say. Hell I would also not mind if the BoS didn't play an important role. One of the strong points of Vegas was the fact that you had other factions to worry about, like House, NCR and the Legion.

Agreed. It's not him so much that's irritating, it's how much people fucking love him

It would be pretty funny if Three Dog in Fallout 4 plays nothing but Reggae and calls himself Three Lion.
Even funnier if also started talking with a ridiculous football cockney accent.

Y'see tha' ludicrous display las' nigh'?

i'm just not some kiss ass willing to accept Fallout 3 or 4 or 10 as good fallout and legions of Autistic Fallout 3 worshippers will not change my mind. I'm smart enough to know better.

Oh....How did all that hate between 1 and 2 years ago? how F2 totally fucked up F1
what about the whole fallout bible is not lore and how Avellone fucked up lore.... remember that shit.
yeah i bet some of you here would blow Avellone just chance to hear him speak his Fallout Bible. Now that Todd is Scripture.

I have a feeling however that Three Dog will just be on the radio though, I presume GNR would be able to be heard over in Boston.

Forgive me, I am new to NMA but I just completed Fallout, and am going to play Fallout 2. I mastered Fallout 3 and New Vegas. After looking up some thing regarding the first game I was referred to this site and was surprised to see such criticisms for Bethesda's game. Now with fallout 4 I must ask, what WOULD you fans of the first two who don't like Bethesda want to see in it? I personally really enjoyed all of the games so far and look forward to playing 2.

First time I watched the trailer my immediate thoughts were that this is exactly what I didn't want to happen. To me, it felt a lot more like Fallout 3 than New Vegas. I'm pretty skeptical about this game tbh, sure it looks graphically improved, and there's some nice visuals but i'm still really worried. Yeah, i'm sure it will be fun to play and everything, but I doubt the story is going to be anything unlike Fallout 3. I'm expecting it to introduce some new gimmicks, one of them possibly being the voiced protagonist which i'm also really not looking forward to. The trailer was just super meh, hopefully the E3 showcase changes that but i'm pretty disappointed at the moment.
