Fallout 4 Bible: Bethesda will never make a good Fallout game

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but someone from /v/ made a long and well put together narration of why Bethesda's design philosophy is conflicting with Fallout. It might be handy if you ever need a resource to link to your retarded casual little brother.

The people this video is meant for aren't even going to watch it. They're going to read the title, press Dislike, and do something else.

Good video, though. Good essay.

Opinions are like assholes as they say.

And this particular opinion is correct. Bethesda makes a poor quality and boring product!

Except that it's quite well received and isn't what you claim it is, and those opinions counter yours and this one. Interesting, ain't it?

For people who claim some sort of moral superiority/higher intelligence, you don't say very smart things.

Well I didn't see anyone here actually claiming any form of moral superiority! Also, I do find it quite entertaining, that most rabid Besthesda/Zenimax defenders will jump up to defend the sales record/reviews of Fallout-Doom.

I enjoyed the video, but folks need to quit being so negative with their titles for their videos/articles. You aren't going to inform anyone by taking a shit on something they like in the title. I would have titled the video "Fallout 4 Bible: How Bethesda can make make good Fallout Game." Present the same information but put a more positive spin on it. People are far more willing to embrace what you have to say if they think you're actually trying solve the problem rather than just bitch about the problem.

Excellent video; spot on with the points.

*I disagree with the assertion about New Vegas proving that a good Fallout [sequel] without being turn based and [3D] isometric.

**If you were to upload an alternate version with the profanity bleeped, I would link to this on Bethesda's own forum in replies that would benefit from the points it imparts.

*** Unfortunately... Bethesda is not clueless about Fallout, they are calculated. They make bad Fallout games on purpose, and they would not willingly correct them ~~because they wouldn't sell as well. They don't care what the masterpiece was about, only that they can sell it millions of times to "the great unwashed"... and they do. Raising their game up to be par with Fallout in social interactions and PC-choice implications, would not just jeopardize that; it's a fact that they could not sell the game (as an enjoyable experience to be sought out by franchise name) to as many people than if they just made a Westworld style spectacle, an ego-trip app, in the form of a Fallout franken-shooter.

They know that their main target audience has a lot in common with a cat and shiny objects where they are easily distracted by it.

Such a target audience would have no use with a game like Fallout 1 or Wasteland 2. Not that they have to! I mean people like what they like and people like things easy and simple, that's why you still have stuff like Applebees out there.

I hate the pervesion of the setting to the FUCKING FIFTIES!!!

Ok I'm curious, what's your reason to hate something like that

A) Now people think Fallout is an alternate fifties, not what they thought the future was.

B) It's frankly ridiculous that there has been no cultural change for several centuries.

C) The fifties was never like that.

But then the title would be less truthful, because as is, Bethesda indeed is not capable of making a good Fallout game. This is simply the truth.
What a ridiculous statement. I doubt the audience would care how "truthful" it is when the title gives them the assumption that the video uploader is projecting himself as a "nostalgic/elitist douchebag" with a superiority complex. And with a title like that, it ruins your credibility, no matter how sound your arguments are.

Yeah, if you want to get viewers you gotta be smart with the title. That's why my eventual video on Fallout 4 will jsut be called "Fallout 4 is SPECIAL, an indepth look".

Good video. The comments section is to be expected, but when isn't this the case with critical-of-Bethesda videos?
