FALLOUT 4 IS GREAT ALL YOU GUYS SUCK [Question]

I watched one of the Arnold videos again, can someone explain this to me?

Fucking Japan.

Alright here is my interpretation:

Arnold is at a high stakes shogi match, with criminal masterminds from around Japan all participating. But 007 has one problem: he doesn't know Japanese. Everyone is making fun of him for his ineptitude, and this infuriates our hero. So he runs to the phone where Q dispenses him a bottle filled with LSD tabs, and poor John Matrix doesn't even know. He takes all of it at once and turns into Saitama, and unloads his "sticky rice" onto the unsuspecting Japs. They all have a giggle about it because it turns out they are all high. The end.

Exactly! They'd run from his flabs.
Sadly fixed.

I defended NMA a couple weeks ago on the official forums, but it just seems they actually enjoy hating on this forum. No matter the proofs to the contrary, the deep and well thought out posts I provided as examples, the input from Fallout 3 fans also members of this board, they simply would not hear it, and none of them have even ventured here.

Either they're slightly brain-dead, which a couple seem to be, or they're just reviling in their ignorance.

Their platform is thus -- if you're against Fallout 4, you're an ignorant Black Isle fan, and the meta critic scores don't matter and are a product of a vast conspiracy by NMA, 4chan, and the codex lol.

Quite truly, these sentiments are childish. I'm not into the whole vs or us against them mentality, I just enjoy gaming and discussing the merits and faults of games I'm passionate about. That's why I like this forum.

I would say, that's the Nu-Bethesda fans. There are many many old Fans, from the days of Daggefall and Morrowind, who are not very happy with the stuff they throw out today. But Beth made it a habbit of allinating their old fans, for marketing and a bigger audience. It worked for them, at least so far. In some sense, you could really compare it a lot with Interplay. The Interplay of today, has not a very good reputation around here either, and there are more than just one Fallout fan who would not hesitate to kick Herve in his nuts. And that for a reason.

That's because the "official" forums aren't full of Fallout fans, they are BGS fans. They're favorite game is simply whatever Bethesda game happens to be out right now.
That's what I'm thinking. Critical thought is stifled and, for some weird reason, if you don't like a particular game or prefer New Vegas, they have to mention how Fallout 3 sold more and was more popular, as if that shit should mean something to me.

Of course they call me an old Black Isle fan even if I played the first two the same year Fallout 3 was released lol. It's a very low-brow fan base from my experience with a couple decent folks here and there who don't mind a good critical in depth discussion without feeling personally insulted if you disagree.

I don't understand either why they do that. We each have an opinion for the games, but i can also understand ; this site is pretty agressive against the game, wether the truth or not, i don't think having one million thread about "fallout 4/3 is bad" "why bethesda suck" will fix the problem either. So it's between both.

I've come to accept that the only way to enjoy Fallout 4 is to not take any of it seriously and treat it as the beautiful mess of stupidity that it is. And after giving up on wanting a great RPG and just playing it as a stupid mess of a game, it's actually a pretty good stupid mess. There are things to enjoy, things to laugh at, and some fun things to do despite all the criticizing.

It has some great improvements, but the dumbing down/dialogue wheel is too much. If they had put a little more effort into giving the illusion of choice with a better dialogue system, I think many people would be happier with it.

I look forward to another developer such as Obsidian improving upon Fallout 4.
