Fallout 76 Really Sucks. People Act Shocked.

Them fixing the weight glitch is going to screw so many people over since you almost need to do it to get anything done until you have the perks that reduce the weight of items. Hell the weight of everything is ridiculous, I have a shotgun that weighs more than a 50.cal machine gun and if I cut the stock off it, it becomes heavier. stuff you need to craft you need in bulk and it weighs a fucking ton. having a main weapon and a back up is a no-go since they both will take up 1/3rd of your weight limit. fucking stimpaks weigh as much as shake-weight.

  • Atomic Shop: On PC, clicking the “Back” button while viewing an item’s detailed description no longer causes that item’s details overlay to persist on-screen.
  • Atomic Shop: The clickable area on item buttons in the leftmost column in the Atomic Shop now correctly matches the size of the buttons.
  • Atomic Shop: Addressed an issue that could prevent items in the Atomic Shop from loading correctly for players on console.
  • Atomic Shop: Fixed an issue that could prevent fanfare from playing, or cause it to end early, after making a purchase.
  • Atomic Shop: Clicks will no longer fail to register along the bottom edge of the screen when attempting to purchase Atoms while running the game on PC with a 16:10 monitor resolution.
Gotta keep that cash shop running.

I'm still confused how people are calling Fallout 76 a Fallout game. It literally has nothing in common with the intellectual property. The only Fallout details it has is the brand name and very a weak cosmetic environmental design that still doesn't add up.

Let's do a checklist shall we?

We went from retro future 50's diesel punk and art deco to... whatever it is Bethesda calls their cartoony art style.

The game mechanics that the intellectual property is based on... are completely gone. (It's like calling a slip and slide chess)

Player agency... out the window.

Overarching conflict to tie the player's character to the game world? Nope, none of that here.

Interesting narrative driven by engaging player choices... maybe they left it on a bus somewhere?

Humanizing characters to temper player interactions? Umm... I don't think a robot counts in this case.

Any exploration of ethics or morality to assist the players introspective of their character? Maybe they think PvP counts as this?

Can someone find anything in this game that is remotely related to Fallout other than some minor aesthetics like bottle caps, a vault, and the brand name?

Wait... you bought the game? Why? If I recall you hate Bethesda as much as any of us so why buy this P.O.S?

I especially like how the lore goes from rebuilding society to shoot everything. If I'm correct, vaults 8 and 76 were intended to open after so long and recolonize the surface. Now it's "rebuild it your damn self."

And so far as I can tell, FO used to be about making choices. That was all but taken away. It's not an RPG if a game makes it seem as if I'm making my own choices, but the ending is essentially the same. And 4 and 76 is not even good at faking this. I could be wrong about 76, because I refuse to play that crap, but I get the distinct feeling I'm right. I adore ME but it pulled this crap too with 3. The ending was red, blue or green.

want to point out that some of his arguments are a little flawed in places.
A little flawed? "But guuyyyyyysss, they worked REALLY hard on this game." is not an argument, it's the kind of excuse a 3 year old would use. Not to mention his primary argument effectively boils down to "We were way too goddamned lazy to ever do a proper redesign of our engine that's 21 years old(18 when the project started) and just kept kludging improvements into it. So when making this game we had to do the programming equivalent of open heart surgery and a full-body skin graft at the same time on the engine to get it to work at all." as a reason for how buggy and limited it is.

I didn't buy it. I got it for free. Hell now I have insights to this poop party that no other was foolish enough to seek.
You lucky bastard got to waste your time with this piece of shit until ATOM RPG, The Outer Worlds, and Colony Ship RPG got released

I just hope your brain doesn't get short-circuited, otherwise you might not be able to enjoy the incoming inclines

And Bethesda does it again! It really is the gift that keeps giving. To the people that haven't bought it that is.

Apparently, Lunchboxes will be a thing, and it seems like they might be related to Atom Store . Paid lootboxes anyone?

Yup, that sounds like lootboxes.
I've seen many people compare F76 to the launch situation of No Man's Sky.
This is different. No Man's Sky was promised to be much more, and a small developer underdelivered. They worked hard on fixing their own mess, and succeeded in many ways.
Fallout 76 was done by a very big developer, and they delivered exactly what was promised. It's just broken shit. Bethesda will now piece by piece add the essential features that should have always been in the game, each one after much demand, and each one still broken for a long time. The game's seriously dead on arrival.

i don't know if it came up already but apparently, there's a bug which let you get into other players' houses. you can't get into someone else's house through the door but if they put a workshop table near a window, you can "use" the table through the glass and glitch yourself into the house (because if you use a table, your character automatically appears in front of it)
also, i don't now if that's an issue with all non-english versions, but in my country, if you play the localized version, the game runs with no sound whatsoever. no music, no sound effects, nothing. you have to play in english instead

I'll be fine, the game is just filled with innocuous stupidity like a tambourine doing more damage then a 50.cal Machine Gun. or somehow all these post apocalypse groups who controlled towns and outposts never got around cleaning up all the dead bodies laying around. people working in some train station trading outpost for who knows how long with skeletons just laying around. It is the kind of stuff you don't notice, but your brain does.

If only they could fix other quests. Camden Park dailies don’t work, also tried doing another quest recently and the ghoul mob that was supposed to spawn never showed up so we had to abandon it, and just after that we tried defending a workshop from a wave of molerats and one of them got glitched under the ground and would not come out so there was no way of defending it so we had to abandon that too.

Also not a fan of quitting out of the game, loading in the next day and to no fault of my own being loaded in that same area just after it had been nuked. I died a few times trying to run from the area, then trying to come back to pick up my stuff after having been killed.

Notice from Toront: That is some poor fuck that actually played PoS 76.

WTF? You mean one of these can be used a weapon?

Yeah a devastating weapon. turns out if you just sharpen up the little bits there you can fell men in power armor and slice deathclaws to ribbons all the while making little jingle noises the entire time. for the record a light machine gun firing full sized rifle rounds needs to land like 10 bullets to do the equivalent of one hit in damage.
