Wow I think I somehow completely missed the post you're quoting. Weird, and sorry about that. Thanks for the reminderziemeck said:Any plans to fix these? Is the error-suffering ghoul important for the plot (I do not remember and do not wish to reinstall and repartch with teamX 1.3.5 bugfix).ziemeck said:Problems I encountered:
Only error in dialog options for ghoul in Necropolis
Error floats for bountyhunters in Boneyard.

One of maps in Necropolis (overground 3rd or fourth to the north) has improperly set scroll blocks - I can scroll outside map edge - into "blackness".
SIDENOTE: In addition - it seems that both luck double-increase bug in boneyard and double (stupid and normal) Intelligence up at brotherhood are fixed - which affects hero-build strategy if you plan to get LK 10 and IN 10.
And yes, absolutely. Pretty much all (or at least all the major) changes for alpha 5 are:
- Fixing crashes / hangs
- Fixing any "Error" dialogs
The dialogs is because I was doing 'clean-up' on the scripts and clearing out some duplicates and cross-references, and ended up fucking them up in the process. Go figure.
And no, the error dialog characters are all, as far as I know, not at all important to the plot, just "citizens" if that makes sense (Ghoul Manager, generic ghouls, Chris Avellone, some generic punks, etc)
I didn't know about the scroll-edges, thank you for that. I don't know if I broke that or is an issue from f1_res but I'll fix it.
The last thing, well yeah, those were exploits and are now fixed As an aside, I plan on making an optional add-on that allows another +1 to stats from Lori in the BoS, but they will cost way more (something like 5x-10x as much) and take longer (I don't know maybe 2x-3x as long). This, if enabled by the player, will allow more flexibility in late-game and something useful for sticking around after beating the game -- as well as of course making over-looting useful, because you can focus on using the tens- or hundreds of thousands of caps to get your stats boosted. In the long term I'd like to add more stuff like this. Now that we have the endgame mod incorporated into FIXT (which is another buggy thing to be fixed in alpha 5, btw) I'd like to add stuff that makes the late game more fun to play. Perhaps even, after other things are finished, adding some different dialog for NPCs after beating the game, like they did in Fallout 2. This will of course be optional and can be disabled.
