I would move the script to another location instead of deleting it, just in case.

Sort of. You can manually extract the files but the installer and plugins only work on Windows so native Mac is a bad idea; you're not getting the full experience. Most people use virtualization software such as WINE.
 
I may have a bug to report, sorry to not use your link but I'm using my cellphone right now, with a bad internet connection, and this is very impractical. ^^

I can ask Agatha, the Shady Sands's storyteller, to tell me a story. She says "Okay, whatever." and the screen fades to black. When it comes back, nothing seems to have changed, and no time has passed (at least the second time I did it). There is nothing new in the textbox. Is something supposed to happen ?

I have the Steam version of the game and FIXT alpha 5.3. My game was French but FIXT put it English and I didn't changed it. I also have Windows 7 Familial Premium Edition.

Designers never wrote the code. I think she must have been cut from the game before they bothered fleshing out her dialog.

I might write stories some day, who knows. Or maybe a dedicated fan could write them for me. 8-)
 
Could be something as simple as a gain in XP for learning something interesting from the story. ^^



EDIT : I discovered new bugs. Once again, sorry to not use the link, but I'll do it once I can have Internet on my computer :

1/ Walls are white from time to time, and this graphical problem is generally accompagnied by light on the floor, like the revealing effect around the character. I'll post screenshots on the link later.

2/During the random encounter with a travelling merchant, the game crashed when I tried to speak with him. I'll post a screen of the error message later.

3/ Vince quest (steal the urn from Neil in Junktown) seems to be a bit messed up. I couldn't remember who was the questgiver, so I talked to everyone. Nothing strange until that point, I think he is supposed to give it only after the incident in the bar. But when I got back to him after that in order to get the quest, he directly asked me if I "had it", it being the urn. The quest wasn't in the questlog either. I could still do it from that point, but I never actually took it.
 
I had a thought on perks since you're instituting gameplay changes. Presently, there are several perks which have three levels and yet you only get seven perks. This makes the perks less then desirable in my view.

But what if you condensed the perks that have three levels into just one level but with the benefit of the highest level? I would think it might make more feasible.

Okay, I'm reinstalling FIXT now that I know I can fix the bug I had before and I had a question on the mutant invasion options. If I deselect the mutant invasions option in the installer does it use the vanilla option of Necropolis only or does it disable the invasions all together. Because I think disabling would be a nice option!

Using FIXT with the Good Old Games version properly shows addiction rather than craving, at least on the character sheet screen.

The next release has fixed and improved the code I added that displays what armor your NPCs are wearing. The implementation I was using really sucked, I'm not sure why I hadn't fixed it yet.

Now it'll just say something like:
"You see: Ian. He is wearing Combat Armor."

Hi! Welcome to the forum.

You can just run the exe. All the batch file does is run the screen refresh program. In the next version I might just get rid of the batch file.

Using the Steam version of Fallout and I get the addiction logo just fine.

I was wondering about this myself when I played this last year.

I will be uploading language files today. Do you need any of the originals or just the FIXT English files?
 
Using the current version of FIXT:

1.) The text in the lower left text box for the Talking Brahmin encounter: You come across a heArd of wild brahmin.

2.) I removed Duc's script, started a new game and am still getting Error when I look at him and in his dialog.

I removed Duc's msg file and the errors went away.
