Fallout 2 mod Fallout: Nevada (extended)

Yeah that happened with me too, wasn't sure myself just winged it and it worked fine. Question is your beginning title if Russian or English, mind are in Russian unsure why. Is their an additional file somewhere on here, I understand from watching a lets play it saying Vault Number 8, 2091 and the next one says Vault number 8, 2140 or 2150, but for some reason all that is in Russian.
 
Hey guys. I'm finally playing Fallout of Nevada.

I'm currently stuck at Lovelock
I've chosen the solution of poisoning the Raiders' water tank but I currently can't find the solution. I tried a scorpion tail (which you can conveniently find close to the tank) an old can of dogfood (which poisons you), nightshade; nothing works.
Is there an existing guide or a place for hints out there right now?
I know it kind of violates the purpose of playing a CRPG but as the solutions I'm trying are currently not working I just want to be done with this quest and continue the story.
 
MPPlantOfficial, love to help but I am stuck in Reno due to a glitch, it happens when I approach the guard for lecherio, at the Reno farm. I think I have an old translation, unsure. My titles are also in Russian and my special and most of the interface, it quite bizzar because all the dialogue I encounter is fully translated. To be honest I can get guy with Russian tabs on my pip-boy and interface, but the crash with the guard at the Reno farm, I think its the character machete, but I cannot be sure. If anyone knows what causing the glitch, you be helping me out a load.

Tribal medic can make a poison for you or you can bring Nighshade berries to the old Jed in Black Rock and he will give you recepture for the posion to make it yourself.
You need 3 of them to poison the gang.

Yup. I saw the recipe when I went to cure the poisoned girl.
Now my problem is I can't find enough Nightshade berries. Seems to take forever for the merchant girl to restock.
Does this mod have a time limit of any sort? I actually enjoy the balance that went into making this mod. I can actually grind for skins/weapons to sell as opposed to regular FO2 where I often get killed by Kaga/Robbers
 
Nightshade berriers - best way to gain 2/4 is at the entrance (railway station map) to the Hawthorne Military Base.
You can also buy it from drug sellers in New Reno. And the Medic in the Winds of War should have like 3-4 of them. So you can do it in one-go.

Does this mod have a time limit of any sort?
By default it's disabled as far as I remember. You can check it in your sfall, but it should be disabled. (4 option)
 
Hello again guys. Sorry if I ask too many questions but I wanna know now if there will be:

-new stocks of Dean's Elec/Big Book of Science later?
-buffout, mentats
- +2 Luck (like Hubologist boost)

later in the game so I can plan a better character in advance? Tagging lockpick early on in the game seems to be a bad idea since they provide a ton on Molotovs/Dynamite for those doors. I'm thinking of restarting tagging Doctor instead since I've found 3 instances where Doctor can be used very early game.
Also I just to make it clear, is the +5% to Unarmed Boxing Coach in ElDorado a one time deal or can I keep going back to him like you would a regular skillbook?
 
I would say you could drop lock picking, I found no real use for the skill early on in the ruins near Vault City. Dose anyone know what cause the crash at the Reno Farm? I am at this point completely stuck, I am running the most up to data fallout of Nevada. but unsure if the translation files I am using is causing the problem. The crash happens as soon as I approach machete, the game blacks up and dumps me to desktop

Luck:
You can get 1 from doing some quest. You can get another 1 by holding an item, like shady mirrors in Fo2 with gave +1 CHA.
In addition to it you can gain 1 STR, 2 END, 1 CHA + 3 additional STR from PA.

Books:
They seemed limited from merchants and in overall, they're kind of rare.

Drugs:
Hard to say, there were so rare, that I even abolished idea of mass using them. For perks or some hard checks - there is enough for them, but for playing some hard-chem addict, I doubt.

In New Reno - it's one time deal. But you can learn 20% unarmed in Vegas along with that additional 1 STR.

I found locpicking still better tag skill than others, especially that after 60 locks you will get special karma/perk. Doctor/science/repair is all fine around 60-80 and the later the game is, you can bring those values more, especially sicence. (100-120) But unlike Fo2 it's just useful to get those 2 skills little up in early-med game, instead of rush into speech/lockpick. (Doctor to ~80, science to ~100) Why 2? Repair isn't high priority, you have tools and later toolbox, so it's becoming all easier. By playing on easy with 10 INT, 6 PE+ character you can do A LOT of repair/science/doctor checks.

I have fallout of Nevada v1.02 and I grabbed the only translation that is not down, which is not v1-02.74 he most recent because it was taken down. Is this causing the glitch at the farm?

I have some issues with killing stryker and his crew. Each time i do that and save game afterwards, it becomes corrupted (the game freezes after load attempt). Did anyone had such issue? Is there any way to solve it? It bugs me a lot since i cannot get to the new reno bunker other way (stryker crew is pissed off at me after releasing their drug guy).

Even if you wont fight directly it happens? As far as I remember you can just not partipicate in the fight and have all of them killed.

Not sure TBH. I'm stuck with quest from Thompson where i have to find some gunshotter, so i decided to finish stryker on my own. Nevertheless i had some similar savegame issues whenever i saved in Uranium City (every save from UC was broken afterwards).

Ok, after cleaning Stryker with thompson crew it's all good. So i guess it's bugged when you kill stryker on your own before thompson quest.
 
Hi everyone, enjoying the mod so far. It's very engaging and I'm really excited to go into it blind, and I can't even find quest answers if I wanted to because the game is tough to Google.

Anyway I have unfortunately run into a nearly game breaking problem. Whenever I try to barter, 3 times out of 4 the game will crash with the error shown in the picture after I finish bartering and exit the conversation screen. Several times I've made a good deal of progress since my last save, accidentally bartered with someone without quick saving beforehand, and lost my progress. Every so often the game will crash at random with this error as well. I've made it to Lovelock and I would rather not stop playing the game just because it keeps crashing. Has anyone run into this issue and knows how to fix it?

What version youre using? I remember I had similiar error for megamod.
Seems like some classic conflict, but hmm It shouldn't happen in Nevada uch like that.
 
I am suffering form an identical bug, though it happens to me after entering my inventory, I am using the HD version as instructed by the translation instruction, I am uninstalling that as I type now and I am going to install the standard Fallout of Nevada mod from their site, install the translation afterward. When I played the original version, I never suffered from this weird glitch.
