Fallout 2 mod Fallout: Nevada (extended)

Okay I found the solution, reinstall the game version 1.02 HD, do not activate the optional inventory management system, as this is what caused the crash. So when you get the Russian prompt only select the bottom option. Nothing else as I am not sure which options are inventory and which options aren't. Before posting this I did several trails on a new start to be sure.

What's with the translations though? Some are really good and others are really bad. For example the entire intro segment is kind of meh, then afterwards it was pretty good again up until I got to New Reno where the translation is at it's worst ever. What's with the variation?

The thing about the translation is it is a raw translation, that's why sinkers and other editors are refining the bulk of the translation so it makes sense when read. The thing about the installation guide was it was all in Russian, I don't speak Russian or can read it so I basically spent yesterday figuring out what the different options were by installing and uninstalling the game till I found a version of Fallout of Nevada without the buggy content. So yeah now I can play Nevada, in English!

One more thing - why does time seem to pass so quickly? It's been almost a year of in game time and I'm still level 2 and haven't even gotten to Jay yet.

I haven't view the time much, maybe I should because I am down at Reno and level 4 o if you been a year how long has may character been bobbing along. To be honest along if you don't hit 13 you should be fine

Well when I was talking to Snickers, he said the bulk translation was almost done by Dionis, I rarely came across a few Russian texts whilst playing usually just the goodbye line in Reno. But as for a true edited down translation, Snickers said that was a long way a way from completion, it might be better now and the more people editing is bound to bring the time down. But the translation in bulk is done and should see you though a play through, it might be raw in certain places but it is playable regardless.

im playing first time nevada, with this translation in EN, it was difficult installation, just with russian fonts, or what was it in readme and other windows, but it works, for me is english translation not so bad at all, but I m just in Gerlach location, so ...

Gerlach is well done, from what I saw whilst playing, with the two paths I played fully translated, and easy to understand.

hmm something wrong is in Salt Lake, when I start some quests there, then I try to save game, my keyboard suddenly write russian and whole savegame file is corrupted ... :(

You hit accidentally the change Input Language Hotkey which is CapsLock by default iirc. You can change that in sFall config.exe. I most certainly have reconfigured that too since I also remember some confusion at some point suddenly typing cyrillic xD. That shouldn't corrupt anything in the savegame (except the description maybe), just hit it again and resave.

figured it out too :D

have new bugs in translation:
1. Solomon - Eldorado map in Reno
2. memory card evidence from robot in bus ambush location
3. Phil in Battle Moutain map
4. Patrick in the movie location

Hi guys.

So I:

-Entered vault in Reno
-Was asked to meet Jay at Bridgeport
-Was sent to Hawthorne by biker
-Went to Hawthorne and received a Russian message from Jay in Pipboy

What do I do now? Anyone know what Jay's message said?
Pipboy Quest log still says "Find Jay in Hawthorne."

- travel to Hawthorne
- pick up the signal jammer device in V9 Hangar
- connect that device with radio station in Garrison
