Fallout 2 mod Fallout: Nevada (extended)

Yo, been a while, but seems like I missed this whole FE thingy? Could someone kindly explain it to me? I still kinda don't get it and unable to properly differentiate between 'Fixed Mod' and 'Fixed Edition' stated in the (now updated) OP. Is the 'Fixed Mod' an all-in-one installer where I don't have to install the translation patch, anymore? And who made the 'Fixed Edition' and when was it released?
 
Fallout Nevada 1.02 by Nevada Band Studio.
FN:Fixed edition 2.0.x - stand-alone, Russian only (by Foxx, based on v1.0.2)
FN:Fixed mod 2.0.x - requires Fallout 2 to be installed, contains full English translation (by Pyran, based on FE 2.0.x).

I have now went through FN.Fixed mod for first time, and encountered only one minor bug:

The five punch bags in Area 51. When ever I try to "use" them, it always show "error" in both pip-boy display and as float text, instead of increasing the unarmed skill by 1% each.

I don't know if you prefer bug-reporting on Github(if it is on github, that is) or just here, so I will just report it here to begin with.

Sorry for the dezinformation..
Big Louie sings in Russian but in Crazy Edition 3.4ru+2.92en from this forum ( I must have accidentally remembered it wrongly as Fixed Edition).

Anyways double checked a Fixed Edition 2.0.3.2. save. Big Louie floats in english, as expected.
Sorry for all the confusion.

First of all, I didn't even think someone made Louie actually sing, so kudos for that.
And second - I put some effort into his singing and never tested it in terms of translation, so I was wondering if it works correctly.
 
The TSBox.msg was empty and did not contain text. Corrected.
(I will update soon. Also, I will add a fresh sfall and a few tweaks)
 
I am on my 2. play now, and I really can't get Hard Rock owner to give the request about jazz singer (which I suppose to pick Big Louis), so here is the thing:

On my first play, I did all Big Louis requests, but he never talked with me about jazz, nor does the owner give me the request to pick up a singer, even I have cleared him with the police AND finished the mayor's request. (And I also have done the white jazz man request)

So, this time on my 2. play, I have only met big louis to say I wiill go to hawthorne, and then I didn't do any of his request, and I didn't do the white jazz man request. I basically just skip new reno and reached to Las Vegas, clear the hard rock owner (clearing him with the police AND find out his emeny after finishing mayor's request), but the owner is still not giving the request. So I am kinda lost theree, don't know how to initiate that request.

Maybe someone can help?:confused:

He is Louie, as in "Louie Armstrong". If he's listed as Louis, there's a high chance you are playing crazy edition with an outdated translation. Or just the latter.

About the quest - try putting some skillpoints into speech or up your charisma.
Or try to talk to Louie first. There should be no external conditions.

Thanks man. Calling him louis is just my mistake. I am playing fixed edition.

However on my first run I have Char. 6 or 7, and my speech skill is almost 100, so that shall be very much enough. I can't test it now since I killed him later. But I really can't see why it will require so high Char and speech for such a little request.

Now on my 2. run I have Char 5 and speech 90 (easy mode). I can try to raise them both if that really is the solution according to what you suggested. I very much hope so..

I used F12SE to change the stat of CH and as final value it is 10 and speech is 140 but I still can't get Louie to talk about jazz nor do I get cafe owner to give me the request. Something definitely does not trigger this to happen, I just don't see what it can be (all Louie requests are done, and cafe owner is cleared with police and his "enemy" is identified in the conversation).

did you at least went through some of the cabinets in big Louie base? there are some newspaper strips you need to read *before* aproching Big Louie about an opening in hard rock (which you need to talk to bartender at hard rock about empty stage first before even talking to hard rock owner about it ). anyways the above prolly has to be done before attempting Big Louie's last quest, as only after last quest big louie will allow us to talk about it (I have no idea about requiremets though i had 10CHA and 300% speech :p )

Oh goddamn it, I have the strips, neven known what it is for, have always wondered about it. This got to be exactly what I am missing. Thanks sooooo much for telling me that. Really helps a lot.

I didn't report to louie after the last request done, just in case if somebody here can help me out. Finally I can now initiate this whole thing about sending him to vegas. Again, thanks so much.

I noticed that there has been uploaded a new version of fixed mod, thanks for that. Is there any change log?

    [fix] Changed the appearance of general Wesker (armor without a helmet).
    [fix] Fixed script LCrepair.int (now you can do a full upgrade of metal armor).
