Fallout 2 mod Fallout: Nevada (extended)

Well according to Keyboard Gecko previously "He will be in the Monte Casino. His location varies: in the morning and afternoon he is in his room on the second floor, in the evening he can be found in the bar on the first floor."
I hope this helps, if you still cannot find him maybe consider either reloading a previous save or to just focus you attentions elsewhere and experience the rest of the game. I am sorry that I cannot help further, good luck.

I just went back to vegas to visit the Monte and checked, still nowhere to be found. I'll keep looking, but are you sure this isn't where he goes after the quest is over? Either way thank you for the reply, maybe I need to go into the game files to fix it.

I am not too sure as to where Maxson ends up since I have never done this quest before as I am just going off previous statements and replies. I would assume also that you would have to alter the game directly in the files as I assume that this quest is bugged. Hopefully a potential fix in the future?

I really hope so, I'd hate to be softlocked out of the rest of Big Louie's quests

Hi,
I recently been made aware from Warlockracy's review of Nevada of previous versions of the game having mods ( I.E crazy edition, etc) and I'm sorry if this question is annoying and has been asked before but do these mods work with the current edition of the English translation version and if so how many mods are there for Nevada and where can I find them. Thank you so much in advance

The current version with the most up to date translation is Fixed Edition.

Crazy Edition wasn't updated for a while even in Russian.

Thank you for your reply Alphons! But another question that I have is about traits. The other day I browsing R/classicfallout and I saw a post mentioning Nevada character builds and a reply to said post mentioned something about a trait called "Tesla Fan" and I am curious about this since when ever I go to create a character no such option appears

I remember the trait from when I've played it a few years ago with Crazy Edition, but I don't know whether it was part of CE.

It gave bonus to Science, Energy Weapons and I think Repair. It also gave disadvantage to Charisma skills (Barter and Speech) and other weapon skills.

Update: I managed to debug the quest. I went into the GVARs section of the fallout 2 save editor, found the quest, and changed the value from 2 to a 3, and then I was able to find him in Vegas. I hope this will be of help to others who experienced this issue.

Does anyone know how to Al-Tab out of this game? When using windows 10. It appears to minimize the game, but there's no way to get back into it. You end up having to exit the game, and then launch it again. It doesn't leave you any way to maximize the game once you have minimized it.

Have you tried CTRL, ALT, DEL. This brings up running apps and with a bit of messing about, you can get back in (I think)

Alt+tab ?

I'm running windows 10 and I can alt tab fine, mess around with the resolution config files and you'll probably fix it

Hey! Little issue here with the F12SE, I get these error messages :
22:16:19.525 WARNING File: D:\Games\Fallout 2\Nevada Mod (Extended)\data\SAVEGAME\SLOT03\sfallgv.sav was loaded with errors. Position 32/36
22:16:28.245 ERROR The size of the saved data is not equal to the size in memory. File: D:\Games\Fallout 2\Nevada Mod (Extended)\data\SAVEGAME\SLOT03\SAVE.DAT

Game isn't installed in programfiles, can't figure out what's wrong :/

I'm guessing this is an issue with the high-res patch and/or sfall. Works fine with vanilla Fallout2.exe, all mods I've played (most of which are using sfall and high-res patch) break ALT+TAB in Windows 10/11 and the game won't show up in the task bar. You can get back into the game using the task manager. Find NevadaHD.exe in the process list, extend it via the small arrow, right-click the "Fallout II" process and select "Swith to".

or simply press and hold left alt + tap tab that many times to return to Fallout game( each tab press hops between the visible widows, you enter the active window when you release alt).. I actually never had issues with this on windows 10 so it must be the case of newer hardware. ( mine desn't meet win 11 criteria so i never bothered to switch to it.. not that it's impossible, i know i could do it, but it's just too much of a fuss to reinstall the damn windows 11 evry time it gets a version update)

No, that doesn't work. The window does not show up in the task switcher at all. Task Manager is the only way I found to get back the Fallout 2 window back.
Try pinning the game shortcut to the taskbar. And then click on it to expand the game after alt+tab.

No dice. The game simply won't show up in the taskbar at all, no matter what. The Task Manager workaround works fine so it doesn't bother me much.

With all due respect, how many times do I have to tell you that the game simply does not show up in the task switcher *at all*? I know how ALT+TAB works, I've been working with Windows since 3.11.
