there are generally 3 bunkers in SLC first is in renessance square (sheriff district) only able to find via radio or metal detector. however gas filter is in one of slums bunkers. there's a gimmicky art on the wall of the bunker ( use repair on it. same way as you got the rest of the warehouse components) the bunkers in SLC slums are wery well hidden so it is exceptionally hard to find them on a first playthrough, and without fo2tweaks.

Hey all! New to this forum, but long time lover of the Fallout games. I recently found out about the existence of FoN, and am very excited to play it.

Is there a comprehensive guide somewhere to downloading and installing the most recent english version? I did download the version linked at the start of this thread (not positive that's the actual most up to date version) and ran into an install issue. When selecting the destination folder for install, it always returns an error that says "path may be incorrect" no matter where I try to install. I also ran as admin, and got the same error.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this! If there is a better place to ask the question and somebody would be willing to point me there I'd appreciate it!

Does anyone know who handled making / encoding the new movies for Nevada?

I have a question for them about how to encode an AVI that avi2mve will convert. I can only get the avi2mve tool to convert AVIs made with fsp.exe; even tho I i'm using the rawvideo codec of rgb555le pixel format in ffmpeg, matching resolution, bit depth etc... the avi2mve refuses to transcode it. I'm either using the wrong tool, or missing something.

Look .MVE format is capped at 640x480 as it won't handle more. try alternative formats that Sfall accepts and plays ingame instead of .MVE ask @NovaRain or @Mr.Stalin what the maximum supported by the engine resolutions for those formats are are.

That is a wholly unhelpful answer. I am not confused about the maximum resolution of the .MVE format.

Use virtualdub2 to convert the video to raw rgb555le instead of ffmpeg. On my end it works well

Perfect, thank you! Were you building videos from an image stack, or actually converting them? If you were converting, what was the codec / format of the video you started with?

I think you're mistaking me for someone else. Sorry, I'm not a Nevada dev. Either that or I'm misunderstanding your question.

If your question is still relevant - you should choose fallout 2 root directory when installing the game.

My problem is not that the vendors are not selling stuff - they still are. My problem is that they are absolutely not updating their stock. They have NO money for example and no ammo for me to buy. This is truly game breaking and in fact unless I fix it, I think my time in this mod is definately at its end. I am quite far into the mod too - and totally loving it! Has anyone managed to fix this problem? It would be a real shame if this is where I had to walk away from this mod when I am so close to the end!

There's a reason why game during install sets game time to 150% or even to 200% since if you set it too low you then have to travel a whole lot on the worldmap for the shopkeepers to refresh their stock.
No problems on my side. just make sure that when you pass time for merchant to refresh stock you *can't* be on the same map as the merchant, or the stock will not refresh regardless of the time passed.
Best way to pass time os to wander around worldmap.

Wandering the world map worked for most of the time I played the mod. The reason it suddenly stopped is why I made a post about it here.. I am at a place now where wandering the world map or using the pipboy to pass time is just not working at all. The inventory is not updating. The same items remain for sale without an update. I experimented with allowing around a month of time to pass just outside Vegas and - nothing - the inventory didnt change at any of the vendors.

Then eigther you play a really old unpatched version of the game or You've simply wandered around doing nothing for too long.

The early version had a bug in scripting that if 4 or so months from game start pass vendors would stop restocking like in version 1.02. later versions had this limit increased to like 7 or 8 years ( which is a hardcoded limit since number of game ticks gets so high that in hexademical it represents a negative decimal number. when this certain number is negative shops don't restock. it will happen sooner olr later in all of the classic Fallout gamnes based on this engine, it's only a matter of scripting when it will happen, which varies from title to title.

So if it's less than a half a year from the start of a game (in game time), than you'd be better of with an updated version of Fo:Nevada like the one from february 2020 labeled v2.0.3.2 ( from _Pyran_ 's archive) or simply if you've reached 8 years limit from the start of a game ( that is if you play the updated version), than get a life and don't abuse the game engine. You could easily finish the game 20 times during 8 years in game time... So it's eigther or, but I'd check your version of the game first if I were You.

I’m having issues with resolution and framerate, since I’m far from being proficient with computers I’ll try asking for help from you guys.
I recently got my hands on one of those tablet you can also treat as some sort of PC, sticking a keyboard to it, and decided it was time to play ol’ F2 again.
It ran smoothly with no problems whatsoever, RP included, but I can’t really say the same for Nevada.
The moment I booted it the screen got literally cut in half, and the only way I managed to make the game somewhat functional was by “windowing” it.
Tried all the different resolutions, but they don’t really matter apparently.
Plus, the whole game seems... how could I put it? Smaller, as far as sprites go, compared to F2, probably because I’m playing it in window mode.
    Any help?

The sprites get smaller cause the screen size ain't that big ( how much is it hero 10.1" ;> )

where exactly did you try to set the resolution? If You used any of that Mr.Stalin's GUI for sfall than you've probably got yourself a virus. Resolution is set only in f2_res.ini file, don't set it in ddraw.ini . in game settings may or may not work, so it's best to set resolution in f2_res.ini .

BTW what kind of device are you running it at?
I use an oldie x86 Intel Atom BayTrail with custom install of win 10 (fortuneatly i got the drivers from manufacturer's website before they got bankrupt, so now i can do a clean win 10 install [as it's the only way to upgrade win 10, because internal flash memory is like 28GB so, I'm able to install win 10 only from thumbdrive]) .

Yeah luckily I managed to make it work.
Turns out it was actually a resolution issue, just had to set the proper values through the game files... I did say already how bad I am with computers, afterall, didn’t I?
It was worth the trouble though, the mod is pretty fantastic and I’m now enjoying it quite a lot.
My only complaint, if any, is that companions aren’t a thing, apparently. If there were any they’d have probably started showing up at this point, considering I’m in Vegas and still all by myself... kinda lost hope on that front xD

Don't install into subfolder. Install into fallout2 directory.
