Fallout Online

I have a suggestion if this ever gets going. First of all, how many levels do you plan on putting in at max? if 100, than you will have to either make things harder for the character or take away some things from the character to make his progression slower. This would mean that you would have to change how much skill points they get, the rate of perks they get, and make a new level up chart. If you make it go to 20 ( i am sure that is the fallout game max) than make the leveling harder

In fallout 1 it was harder to get karma, getting 3 was considered good, but in fallout 2 it was getting 500 was good. I suggest use the fallout one version of karma, make it low.

On a side note, make some melee weapons and unarmed weapons that would be good as some of the best weapons. This is so everyone does not have to run around with a big ol' laser.
 
There's no use in spending your time making suggestions, he needs a VB6 programmer, because he doesn't know the language, and if history so predictably repeats itself, he won't find one.

A better option for drakey, if he really has a passion to complete this project, and it just wasn't one of a billion spur of the moment "I think I can do this, lets spam the forum with my idea!" type things that happen every once in a while.

Then he would spend some time learning the VB6 language, though the odds of this happening, are stupidly low.
 
How much VB-programming would be needed at this point? I have been programming VB before but not at any mentionable depth.. Anyway, it can't be that much work to get into the language again. It's vb for crying out loud! What would I have to do?

Do you have a plan (todolist) or something I can look at? Maybe toss some ideas?

edit: yeah, I want to do this only becouse I want to see this project in action some day.. not that I have the time or anything.

They take ages to load BTW, they show a nice pre alpha with potential.

Is it possible to make an online mod of fallout? If it is tell me how and I will start making it, even if is to be done at the next world cup!
 
no, no such mod would be possible. have to make a new engine.. which is already in the making, yay! can't remember the name though.,. check the forum for ianout and the sequel
