You could draft up unlikely scenarios in which it comes back to haunt me, yes. Depending on my team's record I'm usually fine leaving lowscoring positions like TE or DL empty for a bye game.
 
Just to clarify what's at stake here...

If you win the league, you get a little icon in your Yahoo! account that tells everyone you are a fantasy football champion. :D
 
Lemme tell you a story. I was in a paid fantasy league 5 years back. Not a money league, but if you pay on Yahoo! you used to get extra shit: more info, live stats updating, that kinda shit.

But! But! You also got an actual trophy (or T-Shirt) if you won! Imagine that! A nice fantasy football trophy on your mantle.

So that year, I stumbled onto Shaun Alexander. And under the guidance of Trent Green and Josh McCown's laser arms, I defeat the vile Imp in the championship.

Naturally, I spent the next few weeks checking the mail anxiously every day expecting my shiny fantasy trophy to arrive.

And what happens, huh, what do you think happens? Yahoo! sends Imp a "Fantasy Football '05 champion" shirt. Whaaaaa!!!?? Guess what: turns out Yahoo! doesn't consider your champion title valid unless you're from the US!!!!

Justified jingoism or popamole Euroracism? You decide.

If you're in a long-term money league, you have to have a real trophy. Unfortunately, the Chuck Cecil Prize from mine was destroyed in an accident during the offseason. Not sure what we're going to have now.
 
Playoffs Bitch!

BN has been in the playoffs for weeks now. Cleary the number one seed at 10-4 with his ridiculous set of star receivers.

I'm number two, despite losing this week. 2nd in overall scoring behind BN, being buoyed by the combination of Aaron Rodgers and Greg Jennings which just took a big hit. 8-6 gets me in, luckily.

Newbie Hegemony of Flan is number 3, also at 8-6. 3rd overall in points, he has a weird cobbled-together roster that somehow works - in part because he has Vick.

And lastly, Roche Clippers at #4. Cimmie taking advantage of DB messing up in this last week. With Brady, Rice, McFadden, All Day and VD he has a pretty scary roster, though.


So playoff games:

Laserface Kings (Brother None) - Roche Clippers (Cimmie)
Vliegende Brabanders (Me) - Hegemony of Flan (guiltyofbeingtrite)

Unfortunately Sander, that Greg Jennings/aaron rodgers combo got you in and likely now will take you out.

I've been out for a while unfortunately but I'll be back again next year (if the NFL is) to try again :)

Do we have playoffs for the rest of the standings this year, or is it just the top 4 playoffs?
