Fantasy Football '10: Revenge of the Festini

Arian Foster is ehm...wow. I don't think he's going to repeat this performance, as he was playing a terrible run defense (Bob Sanders injured. Again) and I don't see Foster getting that many carries often. But still, wow.

Let's keep it rolling! The Eagles defense right now though... whew, eating Aaron Rodgers for lunch!
Hah. Wanna take that back?

Also man, I can't believe I sat Forte and Nicks, and Cribbs and Knox only got a combined 7 points against the Lions and Bucs. That's a 40-point difference. (Yes, I know I couldn't replace Cribbs or Knox with Forte).

Well other than Foster I think Peyton Manning did the best this week, doubt that anyone else is going to top 36 or 28.
Did I mention something about Chris Johnson ripping off 80-yard TD runs? I did? Good.

Hah for real. I had to stop watching the game the first quarter was so brutal on both sides. But it looks like the Packers started ripping the Eagles afterwards.

He just had a quarter-season worth of stats in one game and your most insightful comment is "I don't think he'll do that again"?

Of course he won't!

But he the real deal.

He needs to stop eating at Andre Johnson's catches tho

Haha yea, I love when football starts and all the preseason planning goes to crap

My plans are working p well so far.

Curious to see how Mathews does. I'm obviously screwed at QB until Broth comes back but that's ok.

I said the same thing about CJ last year, and he had like 6 more of those games.

well i'm definitely not. i'm stickin with these guys no matter what. last year was straight up embarrassing. getting rid of CJK2 and Brandon Marshall. great.

Well I wouldn't advise it but they probley just had a bad week. Like half of my offence is going to be on the Colts, but I never intended to do that and I'm not a Colts Fan.

Don't double post, please. Also, the Jets defense being good surprises you?

And, I can't believe I actually won this game. Thank you Mark Sanchez for being terrible, and Jets defense for stopping Ray Rice.

My team, using ESPN rules and online system:

QB Peyton Manning, Ind QB
RB Beanie Wells, Ari RB
RB Matt Forte, Chi RB
Pierre Thomas, NO RB
WR Donald Driver, GB WR
WR Terrell Owens, Cin WR
TE Greg Olsen, Chi TE
D/ST Packers
K Stephen Gostkowski

So far so good, for not really knowing what the hell I'm doing.

This was definitely the week of upside down running backs.

So many top ten running backs earned marginal points:

adrian peterson, jones drew, ray rice, steven jackson, deangelo williams, frank gore, michael turner, ryan grant, shonne greene

None of them even got 10 points (in espn scoring... our scoring is a bit stricter so i don't know the proper equivalent). Yet Arian Foster and Matt Forte shoot huge numbers.

Unreal.

Ryan Grant out for the year and cumstain extraordinaire BN just picked up Brandon Jackson.

great.

i think this year's been over for me before it even began.

Haha that's something I've noticed in this league. In my other leagues, I'm that guy but here, nope. I just can't keep up with you guys on the waiver wire.

It's kind of unfair that guys like me and Sander watch the game on our computer, so it's not like the FF FA pool is far away at any one time.

But that's life.

(Teehee)

Actually I wanted to ask about that. Every other league I'm in has a period where you can't add new players. So you have to wait until wednesday for all pending waiver wire requests to be processed. From your description, I assume we don't have one of those?

Not that I care, just curious.

Yeah, it's first-come first-serve here.

I like it better than waiver wire. Be on top of what's happening and you get rewarded, if you're not you don't. Seems fair to me.

are you fucking kidding? i was at work. sorry, that's not fair, that's just luck. don't get me wrong, i'm not really upset because it is what it is...but the word after the game from Grant was that he "sprained" his ankle. so i put in Chester Taylor for next week and didn't really worry about it. then while i'm at work i get the news. so i go to the FF page asap and BJack is gone.

if BN gameplanned or had BJack previously, no harm no foul. it's just luck. if he got BJack 'cause there's a 6 hour time difference which meant i was at work and he was at home dicking around--not fair. and the converse would be true if it was the other way around.
