Fat kid goes MMA on a Bully

Uh, he pulled what could easily be a lethal move on a kid half his weight. Not about 'justice', but he should sure be taught that that was not acceptable. This definitely shouldn't be one of those, "Yey! He stood up to the bully well done, all is forgiven!"

Stop hippying you hippiefag.

Alas, even some terrible massacres were caused in an european schools. Don't be fooled, DammitBoy, it's the same misery all around the globe.

That was my point, sarcasm is lost on you lil fellers.

If i was the principal i would do the same. Less shame to get that way. But i would punish those who started the situation, something to waste their energy and make them wish they never did that. Examples have to be made, like that kid did for himself in self defense. It's the only way other kids will learn not to bully him next time.

Sarcasm? Well, still can't see none.
Look closer. I doubt that he was genuinely suggesting that were the same video shot in Europe, the kids would be hugging.

But yeah, never hurts to include one of these bad boys when you're being sarcastic --->

I'm not happy about 'emoticon' becoming a common word. I use it too, can't help it, but I hate it so much. No real alternatives, I guess - 'smiley' is equally gay.

Again, i disagree with the suspension part, he shouldn't be punished for defending himself. I am most certain that the move was not something that he did on purpose, to cause traumatizing harm.
How can you say that you are "most certain"? You are not in his head, you do not know the past history between these two, et cetera. And it looked to me that the bigger kid did not simply drop the smaller kid, but thrown the smaller kid to the ground. That has some sort of indication of being a tad more than just self-defense. Heat of the moment, yes, but there is a moment when the line of self-defense is crossed. There are ways of effective physical (and non-physical) self-defense techniques that do not require so much violence.

Both kids need to learn better self control. And they both were rightfully suspended.

May I ask you Miss Voof - have you ever been assaulted before? Probably not, in the heat of the moment people will do what they think is necessary to fight off an assailant. If the video is 100% accurate then the larger kid was justified in defending himself, even if the assailant is an ugly little Golum impersonator. I'm actually surprised that he didn't want to hurt the little brat further, but most likely he isn't an aggressive person. Everyone can has an opinion, but how many actually have the actually experienced an assault...5 men kicked the living shit out of me once - this stuff is very real.

The kid getting himself smashed there is the one going to get the most trauma out of this. He cannot show himself on the web for the next ten years. Saw some links to his facebook page there.

All in all epic video.

Since it seems that for someone to have a somewhat "credible" or "worthy" opinion without it being shot down by the "I was... so I know" and/or "you don't understand" crowd, that they must give their past bullying and/or fight history, I shall answer your question. Yes, I have been assaulted before, worse than the two punches the kid in the video was the recipient of, as the person in my case was not bullying but in a rage. No one was hurt, in my case, as I was calm and physically and verbally defused the situation. (But my situation certainly wasn't as bad as your situation that you described at the end of your post.)

He definitely had the right to defend himself, can't deny that. I just happen to agree with the decision to suspend both of them (and I think that the one recording should also be suspended, if they haven't).

And we aren't talking about assault in the sense of what you experienced with grown men kicking the living shit out of someone (sorry to hear that happened to you). It's children bullying, and I understand it's a serious problem, but both the bully and the victim need to learn that such behaviors are not acceptable. That move the bigger kid did could have turned real bad, real fast, and he'd be facing more than just a school suspension. Again, people of all ages need to learn control.

And, trust me, I know about the whole "heat of the moment" thing, and lack of control because of it.

I think he should have killed him, someone like that is unlikely to do much good for himself or those around him.

The fat kid seems to know what he is doing, though. His movement was pretty exact and far from "SMASH KILL I'M ANGRY RAAAAAAR". Also, note how he holds the little dudes head while dropping him, ensuring that he does not land on his head.
My guess is that this was less a short circuit reaction and more a demonstration that you don't fuck with people twice your size.

Word.

Also, how funny would it be if another couple minutes of the video were released, where the fat kit consistently bullies everyone around. And you find out this was the one moment the skinny kid tried to stand up to him.

If anything the fat kid should get the bigger punishment. Picking someone up and throwing them like that is far more dangerous than some little kid's punches.

A little more info the little kid apparently is 12 and the fat one is 16.

I don't think he's 16, Kilus. They're probably more or less the same age, just the chummy dude is...well, chummy. I'd say they are 14.

When I think about it, similar thing happened in my school to one kid from my class when I was sixth grade in elementary (13-14 years old).
The kid who was bullied was a thin, weak dude, as you can imagine. He was bullied by 4-5 guys of similar age, but much stronger and bigger. Poor guy couldn't do a think. He was beaten up a lot, and in the end all those kids got was a detention and lowering the "behaviour score" (stupid thing that measures your actions during a school year, best being 5, and worst being 1. Bastards got 4. During next year, score gets back to 5 again).
Of course, the dude was bullied on until he finished elementary, and from what I hear, those bastards are pretty-much the same. It's just that they're now using knives and guns instead of fists.

If they were taught how to behave properly when they were younger, they wouldn't be like that. Sometimes slapping your kid a few times when they fuck something up is a necessary thing for a good upbringing...and quite effective.
