First Impression of Fallout 4

I thought about doing something like that. Pure awesomness. I think you have a bright future ahead of you in this community.

*Edit, I also like the fact that the facial expressions in Fallout 5 didn't improve even one inch.

I disagree honestly. It clearly conveys whats going on inside the characters mind while deciding if he should smile or frown about the morally grey choice of killing or sparing feral ghouls.

... Seriously, I want a sequel for Kingpin. That game just ruled.

After playing that game I always imagined that marshmallow man from Ghostbusters as a thug from the game swearing non stop while firing randomly.

I'm definitely not going to waste my money on this nonsense. I had just a tiny bit of hope for a little while. I mean, they had New Vegas to draw inspiration from. Instead, it looks like they just said, "fuck it, we're going to make buttloads of cash", with their two-word dialog wheels. They couldn't even get the dialog wheel right. At least take a good look at Mass Effect or something.

Hear, hear man. They didn't even get the Mass Effect formula right, not that it was any good.

In Mass Effect having limited dialogue options at least kinda worked, since at the end of the day you were always the hero, and unlike Bioware, Bethesda couldn't write interesting or compelling dialogue to save their lives

I think different Power Armor models are really not that much of a problem, if you consider that they are somewhat like walking tanks in that sense. It is not uncommon that a prolonged war will see many different models of certain units, with smaller or bigger improvements, or just like you say, simplifications. The best examples to look at, are the tanks in WW2 and the high number of different models, particularly with medium tanks.

Well, but most tanks in WWII were progressing or taking different characteristics as the war went on in order to respond to the advances in the enemy's own tanks and changing roles.
Here we don't really see any reason for the T-60 as of yet.
T-51b was an improvement upon the T-45d, it gave the user better protection, better mobility, its power supply lasted much longer and so on. We don't really know of any flaws in the design that could be improved upon. It could very well be the best the pre-war industry could come up with at the time.
T-60 on the other hand looks inferior to T-51 in every possible way save for one, possibly. The jetpack. It could be explained, that T-51 was incompatible with a jetpack, so they had to design a new armor that could utilize it, but at the same time forsake some of the protection, power supply and mobility.

Like I said, the T-60 can be the M46 Patton of PA.

The M46 was just an improved M26 since the latter was too shit in Korea.

Guess I could have searched for that, but I felt like there might have been a better (more in depth) reason. Maybe Fallout 4 will explain that. :wiggle:

So I've played like 8-10 hours now.

Playing on Survival is pretty tough. The dialogues are worse than Fallout 3. Hard to accomplish that. And I'm beginning to get a little pissed off because the game just throws you into the world. I just "fortified" my hometown in which my house is occupied by some stranger (wtf? get outta my crib!) and now I'm wondering aimlessly through the wasteland.

Yes I have a main quest, but it doesn't appeal to me at all.

I'm reading about all kinds of complaints like crashing, unlocking frame rate causes everything to speed up and effect physics, long loading times, shitty mouse controls, no FOV slider(ewww), losing companions, pressing play but nothing happening, losing saves, getting stuck in the vault, invincible enemies, and more! Beth fanboys say "nothing wrong here" or "it's your computer"! I'm sooooo glad I didn't preorder this turd, i'll wait for the Christmas sale.

Should've had an FOV slider I mean some PC games have it right out the box. Shouldn't have to use console commands to achieve that but what am I saying this is Bethesda we're talking about.
