French gaming magazine previews Fallout: New Vegas

No can do, the leader of the Caesar's Legion is already called the Caesar.

Would be interesting to know if the Legion takes over the said casino because of its name.

Thats looking a bit much into it, no? Its a game, learn to accept the trivial and move on. Or maybe Caesar is an alleluias.

Huh? Looking too much into it? I think it's pretty much what's to be expected: Caesar's Legion will probably be housed in Caesar's Palace, yeah.

Kind of makes sense too.

Or is it bad that the construction of Caesar's Palace started in 1962 (in our timeline, that is)?

I think it's pretty clear that landmarks as Iconic as Caesar's Palace will be in there. But different. Stratosphere Tower is in there for one thing.

Obsidian really do have themselves a very interesting setting to play with; Vegas was very, very different in 1945-50. So essentially they can take that foundation and build whatever the fuck they want on top.

It clear that they're still going with the whole neon sign, mobster, gambling look (they'd a fool not to with such an iconic setting) but they can still play and sculpt the landscape a lot more than with most citys.

No, Stratosphere is not in. The tall building is Lucky 38
And it doesn't look that similar.

I didn't know it had a different name.

But my point still stands. It's the Stratosphere. In the Fallout universe.

I am assuming this trend will continue. And with Caesar's Palace it makes sense to keep the name, considering it'd make a perfect head quarters for Caesar's Legion (and judging by the fact they own the strip I imagine they probably own most of the ruins of New Vegas.)

Yeah, I remember you said last time the magazine came up. They seem like good people.

Got good experiences with Canard too. Funny. Frenchies and Fallout. Whodathunk.

Maybe we'll see more info. Hopefully. Our French newsposting team fled :/
Canard PC are most of the folks from the old Joystick mag, so yeah, Fallout minded too.

ya, good catch and sorry I don't expect an elitist canadian mag to get anything right. I'm an amerifag and speak more than one language so argument invalidated. I look forward to the whole 'Lucky 38/Caesar's Palace' Scenarios
