Game Informer: Max Payne 3 in Brazil

I need a creepy word that rhymes with "charm" to replace the collocation in "Third time's the". Seriously, first Fallout and now this?

I wasn't really counting on seeing a game with an oldened Payne till, like, 2015. Seriously, is the market really so short a snake? It's not like it's the eighties they're recycling, it's 2001 for Odin's sake.

Also, not that the South American setting bothers me (can give off a nice "Man on Fire" vibe), but how are they going to handle scientifically believable snowfall? I ain't buyin' a Max Payne game without snowfall.

Max go to the south of Brazil. It snows on Rio Grande do Sul sometimes. And there are Germans, so there are both your Norse Mythologic References and the snow! Also some neo-nazis.

No more James McCaffrey???

Yeah, that seals the deal indefinetly, never gonna play this game as long as they still call it Max Payne 3.

nononono, you're getting it wrong: The GTA4 engine is the rage.

Also, 10 caps says Bruce Willis will do the voice acting.

They're picking by talent, and who's to say he is talent-less? Besides, you don't design key-story game-characters those days to bear resemblance to a celeb if you don't mean to use it.

whats wrong with the Rage Engine? I have never had any problems with it, other then average graphics.

Me neither...
But I sure hope that the PC version will run better than GTA IV. But I'm not sure that it has anything to do with the engine.

Those were all in the GI article (there were more in the article actually) barring the shadowy one on the catwalks I think.

It's too awesome, that's what.

Well, I may be exaggerating a bit, as various engines may be better at various fronts. However, Rage has hands-down the most advanced AI and animation system seen in any commercial game middleware, ever. Rockstar really went all the way with that one - they brought together *the* foremost experts in the field and had them implement pretty much every bleeding edge feature and concept introduced in the last five years or so. They also get respect++ for using the open-source Bullet physics library, which easily matches even high-profile commercial solutions like Havok Physics for capabilities and performance.

All that awesome progress and yet GTA IV PC still manages to run like a crack whore on a Saturday Night!

Dude be lacking some kind of leather coat. How can they say it's Max Payne with a straight face?
Might as well call it Max Beard, revenge of the Die Hard lookalike (with a beard).

I bet you anything he's going to sound like Sam FIsher in Splinter Cell: Conviction - the most popular voice for desperate video game badasses.

I was reading this same story on Kotaku, and looking at the comments. The people there were freaking out about how R* is destroying one of their favourite franchises.

I couldn't help but think, "Now you know what I feel like when I see Fallout 3."

I loved Max Payne 1 & 2 though, so I'm really sad about this as well.

If MP3 is like GTA IV (terrible) it'll mean I've had one of the worst gaming years I can remember.
