Witcher 2

And Crysis 2 to the extent - my computer will never run it. Diablo 3 will doubtly be out in 2011.

That remains to be seen. I heard that with Crysis 2 they want to keep an eye on the visuals beeing even with lower hardware playable and looking "decent" as it seems many had some trouble playing the game when it was released and new.

Not to forget it will be out for the Cripple-box and waste-station as well, so naturaly the visuals have to be "reduced" a bit, yo know programing for the lowest common denominator and such :D

True, but still, it's going to be very demanding game. I can play Crysis od Medium graphics, above that it's system fail.

Apparently Crysis 2 runs at approximately the medium settings of Crysis 1 on consoles, according to this video.

Well, that is unexpected, but understood. Consoles can never have such graphics that PC can have. On the other hand, consoles will never rip you off for such graphics as PC can.

Final verdict
No Crysis 2 for me...at least for some time...

Both Bioware games first and foremost (especially ME3), but Human Revolution is starting to look very nice. Ubisoft also is rumored to release an AC a year now, so maybe the 3 will come out in '11. Will maybe give a spin to The Witcher 2, even if the original left me slightly disappointed. Diablo 3 this year would be beautiful, but is unlikely imo. Oh, and Portal 2.

Man, good thing I upgraded my PC if I need to run all those games.

Dead State, the zombie-themed RPG. Think someone has already mentioned. Also, no idea when it's actually scheduled for release.

I knew it. I thought I was going crazy because Crysis 1 actually looked much better than Crysis 2 to me. In some places, Crysis 2 looks like shit.

Remember, the CryEngine 3 demo was on PS3 and Xbox 360. They haven't shown PC gameplay yet. It baffles me, seeing as they are like, "Check this lighting shit out. It looks good right? Well, you should see it on PC!" Maybe they're trying to sell it to consoles, because even with the whole shrunken textures and what not, it still looks better than any other console game. Or they're saving the Ultra-High-I-Jizzed-In-My-Pants PC graphics for later, as a sort of delayed gratifaction thing for PC fanboys.

Also I'm curious to see DmC and if it will indeed be the rape of the franchise I think will be.
Yeah... I'm at a loss for what they were thinking rebooting the franchise, let alone in the way they seem to have.

Arkham City is on my list but Mark Hamill has sadly said that it will be his last performance as the Joker.

Diablo 3 is at the top of my list.

Portal 2.

Marvel vs Capcom 3... if it were for PC. It looks like it's going to be a worthy successor so I'm sad that there are currently no plans for a PC release. T_T

As for the rest, we'll see when we get there.

depends. New generations of consoles happen to be either on the same level as the Pc or even outclass it sometimes. But since the PC is a very modifiable platform with very fast hardware progression compared to the console which only change from one generation to the other its obvious that the PC will see sooner or later better hardware. Thing is just ... well the console is the main buisness for many game developing companies today.

But to say that the visuals today with very famous games and big studios have compared to the past reached now a level where the difference in quality is with each game pretty minimal. The details, like animations with faces and better lightning here and there see some change over time but I doubt there will be some huge step forward that soon. So to say that it is almost a situation where with some games the visuals reached almost photorealistic quality (almost). Visuals that look even better then preredered scenes from past games. It seems some of the new targets in the future will be optimisation of engines eventually. Though I still have the hope that at some point if it really is not possible anymore to push the visuals that much without reworking the hardware completely we will see a biger focus on character creation and other aspects like the AI and well valuable rich content.

I hope RDR finally comes to PC. It's probably one console game that makes me regret getting rid of the consoles. I'd love to play Halo Reach, Alan Wake, and God of War 3 as well but not as much as RDR.

you guys would do me personaly a great favour if you actually would "writte" the games you are talking about as I can do as much with RDR as I can with traditional chinese. So in other words, nothing :P

Not everyone of us happens to be such a 23 ours gaming nerd like some of you guys are here

some have a real life to take care about :smug:

*Now I Think I have figured out what game you maybe mean, and I completely agree.

diablo 3 before it turnes into Duke Nukem Fornever. which suprisingly based on the post below me can be written as DNF, which in racing, stands for Did Not Finish.

*Witcher 2 (because i loved Witcher 1 to death)

*Diablo 3 (if it comes out, for the same reasons as above)

*TES V:Skyrim (wondering if Obsidian and the whole Fallout thing might rub off on bethesda - i know, i'm optimistic)

Other than these games, i'm only mildly intrested in others, but i'm hopping i will be pleasantly surprised. Would probably put Bioware games in that list, but i have lost hope on them. Their games don't resemble... em... games, anymore. It's more like watching a crappy movie....

Just watched the trailer, quite weird tbh. Judging from the trailer though, it doesn't seem like they're planning to change much about the gameplay, just about the lore. And as far as I'm concerned, the story behind the DMC series has always been pretty weak, and I've loved the games for gameplay only. I just hope the new one comes to PC.

True but it doesn't look like they are doing any better with the new lore. The storytelling was never about being serious (maybe a little in the first and fourth games) but about the over the top delivery in my mind, which is what they seem to be keeping. That's why I don't get the reboot, it doesn't look like they are taking the series in a new direction.

I agree about the PC thing though and it looks promising given that 3 Special Edition and 4 were both for PC.
