Games your Looking Forward To, 2011

I'm looking forward to the Mutants Rising TC for Fallout, huh. I can't wait for the new NV DLC too. Otherwise, I don't have that high expectations for this years games, maybe Dead Rising ....

@Homefront: Like the freedom fighter idea, hate the setting. I know crumbling America is all the rage in videogames these days, but they seriously could've picked a more realistic and interesting setting.

I don't care what the setting is. I am interested in their implementation skills. For all I know, these guys could make an FPS about life of rats, and make it more compelling than Modern Warfarce 2.

Killzone 3
Max Payne 3 (been waiting since after I beat 2 and heard the rumors that there MIGHT be a 3rd)
FNV DLC for PS3 hopefully
Resistance 3 (even though i haven't played the second one, from what I hear this one sounds better than the first 2)
I am Alive

Of course you know he received the "Dark&Gritty" treatment too, right?

God, I hate the art direction of this generation of games.

I am Alive

Yeah, what happened to that one? :S

I agree compared to the design of the last 2 games Max Payne 3 looks pretty "shit" to me. I dont understand either whats with those "bad ass bald head" characters, be it in splinter cell or other games.

An entire series based on film noir and they decide to make the hero bald and wear a tank top. Without a trench coat and a decent haircut it just isn't the same.

Oh yea, looking forward to Fable trois on the PC, not sure why as it is kinda wank but I like playing them for some reason.

I'm going to play it anyway, i loved the second one and i am iffy about how they're treating this, hopefully the story doesn't take a back seat to over the top violent gameplay.

And i don't know what happened to I Am Alive, i heard about it like 2 years ago and then it just dropped off the face of the world, but last I heard it was still in production.

Now, I haven't actually played it, mind you, but Fable 3 sounds freaking fantastic. I never thought I'd use these words in one sentence but I'm being honest here.

One of my favorite parts of Baldur's Gate II was De'Arnise Hold where you get to rule a small estate and make decisions about the happenings there. Fable 3 sounds like De'Arnise Hold, the game! How cool is that? If there is any Fable game to play, it would be this one, IMHO.

Agreed on the travesty of turning Max Payne from a noir to sunny brazil, but I kinda like the beer gut on the new Max. We need more beer gut having wife beater wearing action heroes.

@above. NWN2 had a keep that you made decisions for, and that game sucked ass.

I think the only "badass bald guy" from video games is Kane.

Homefront looks pretty good, I'd like to see if they can make it emotionally stressing with the whole violence thing, if they can, I getting it. I like when I can make a connection to what I'm playing.

You havent played hitman? He was bald before it became cliche, and the series is one of my favorite games of all times.

Sure I played. He is badass. But still not nearly as badass as Kane.

What Kain are we talking about? From Kain and Linch? That game that got Jeff Gerstman fired from Gamespot? Please tell me no.

Homefront is the only game I'm interested in. Finally, FPS developers with brains. Showing consequences of violence and going for stronger emotional response. I welcome that with open arms.

It won't matter, the game will still end up being played as a shooterfest, I am willing to bet those ideas they are playing up wont be played up that much at all as compared to the action. I am interested in it mostly because Freedom Fighters was one of my favorite PS2 games and while I have gave up on a sequel to it I am hoping this gives me the fix.

However having choices is pretty cool, like shooting the guys on fire or letting them burn, it will be nice to watch some commies writhe and scream in agony as they burn to death.

I think people are being way to optimistic about Dead States release date, I don't see that as a 2011 release. A few months ago I saw about the same information that I saw on it almost like what a year and a half - two years ago? It worries me because I really want that game to come out.

Kane from C&C.

Got a point, no other Kane is this badass.

Did have a picture a while back of all the bald or shaved head action heroes in games but lost it.

Problem with it in Fable 3 is that it's pretty black and white on what you choose. You either choose the cheap evil option or the expensive good one and it also time skips each time. Sometimes by years. Indeed you can accidently skip to the final mish in the game if you do too many of them.

The stains on the tank top make me laugh. Supposed to be blood, I imagine, but it makes him look like he's a sloppy spaghetti eater.

From Seth to Kane to GOD

Teeehehe.

Really. Does anyone seriously still believe in what this Molyneux is "promising" about his pet game Fable ? That people still buy in this hype is something I never understand. I mean yeah ... sure the games can be entertaining. They are games afterall. But quite often you can read that he always makes huuuge promises and delivers not even half of it.
