I like snakes and have held several. They're really cool, but of course I prefer snakes with a bite that's not poisonous. A snake peeing on you... bad luck and bad timing.

Rays are really curious, and the big ones are quite friendly, though the small ones can sometimes sting you.

So, this exists:

I wonder if it's any good.

Nope, cringey as fuck to me.

I'd fuck her.

I'm starting to hope the internet ends one day. Everyone with a voice = delusions of having some kind of say
I take a single glance at a dinosaur article with Facebook replies, and people are just opining left and right, "I don't think Tyrannosaurus had a tail" -Bob from wherever. "Dinosaurs didn't exist back then. My opinion anyway." -Bert from next door to Bob. Ridiculously patient paleontology students or something, doing their best to provide links and information, what the hell are they thinking, giving links to *reading material*, words, to be read, like a book, "I don't think reading is real." -Hoss Lumbthonwert

I'm so glad I'm off FB and no longer have to be exposed to peoples stupid little opinions that they think trumfs real reality because that's how they've been geared to think the past 20 years. That's the mechanic of the human brain.
"I don't agree with brains." -Flarn Flarnsen

Actually, Dara O'Briain brings it up as well, in TV-debates, so I guess it would persist outside the internet, but not to the same extent, like when they pair up an actual researcher on the subject - versus a complete everyday nincompoop, to exchange opinions on the matter

Went shopping for some Christmas gifts. Now I'm having some coffee. I bought an electronic coffee grinder from a store, don't want to advertise which one if that's not allowed, and some coffee beans, extra dark. Now I grind the coffee beans and get 'fresh' coffee all the time.

You know, you can always block certain people from comenting on your FB page :P.

I just got sick of seeing daily updates in general, opinions opinions, as well as FBs incessant attempts at trying to cherry pick "my favorite news", which allready then (a full year ago) was dominated by right-wing rants. FB's algorithmic logic is that since I continue getting exposed to that stuff, I must surely be seeking it out, circle-feeding itself.
Good riddance.
No FB feels almost like going back in time - it is also comparable to quitting smoking, which I also did recently. Similar feeling :D

Hah, don't even have a facebook account. This is the only forum I go on. Get on my level.

I am now! Was without FB for over a year, and left my only other forum a while ago.
Well, I am on DeviantArt, to post my shiz, as well as Twitter, because I thought maybe it could replace FB. So far I have like 4 friends on Twitter, and two of them are my aunt, posting about animal abuse. Well, I have some dinosaur people there too, so my wall is dramatically different from what it looked like on FB

You still have twitter AND DeviantArt?

It's -22℃ ( -7.600000℉) here.

Damn, it was -8 here, I was freezing my ears off, -22 is hellish... :D

Couple of years ago I had a dentists appointment and a root-canal. Came back out, half my face sedated, in -15 freeze, VERY weird feeling, uncomfortable to say the least :D

It's only bad with wind. If it's 'just' cold, you can actually manage it. I had winters in Serbia with -25 and it didn't feel so bad like some winters here, when it's really windy.

Yes, wind makes all the difference. Still cold is surprisingly tolerable, even extremely low temperatures

About windiness, I know. When I was an exchange student in south England, it didn't really go below freezing point (0 deg Celsius). When you went out there were people walking around with coats open and even some in t-shirts. So you do the same and you're cold. Later I got flu. I learned my lesson if I ever find myself in the sea climate of England, when it's winter I dress accordingly there, I don't care about the t-shirt a-holes going "haha" about my winter coat, they will get pneumonia and die.

About freezing to death, I know about that too. My feet got very cold during a military exercise in the north of Finland back in the day. First they were painful but when the pain got to a certain point, very high, it all of a sudden went away completely. My foot went numb. First it was relief when the pain ended but when I got back to the barracks I had frost bites in my toes. So, once you go numb, freezing to death might be a pretty nice way to go.

One thing that surprised me was freezing my ass off in Spain, during winter. Cold as hell!
I used to ridicule them for being cold at 10-15 degrees C, but the thing is, our houses in Norway, Finland, etc, are almost self-sustaining in terms of heat. You don't even need heating for many of them, your body heat circulates and isolates, the house is like a thermos.

In Spain, however, houses are designed to allow freshness for unbearable summer heat, so during winter, they withhold NO warmth at all, resulting in occupants constantly cold, I was really surprised - and uncomfortable!

Well, I wasn't really serious though. But, I do remember veterans from Stalingrad talking about the conditions, like freezing and starving in -30 and -40 even. They say, the worst for them, wasn't even the cold or freezing to death, you simply fall asleep, and it's over, and starving to death is pretty much the same thing at some point. But, having just barely enough food to 'survive', while still starving, is what they kinda remember the most.
