You would think anything I've said on these boards has been me "flipping my shit", wouldn't you? You have no idea what it looks like when I actually go off the rail, but you think you do. But hey, I noticed from the beginning that people here have a propensity for trolling and confusing it for pertinent thought, so it's not like your comment is any kind of revelation to me. By all means, continue being petty. I'm sure it's invaluable to your personality growth. =)

So Oddworld is free on Steam today, never played it but I am a sucker for old school Puzzle adventures.
 
So, Farcry Primal. Will we be climbing huge stone towers to lit bonfire in this one? Will people complain about how racist towards Cavemen the game is?

Also, sequel to SMT4, but it is no SMT5, more like SMT4-2? It has an Anarchy theme apparently, Atlus has always had this anti syablishment streak on their games but between Persona 5's protagonists being all deliquents and shit they have being going harder with that theme. I hope we get a western release of SMT4-2.
 
Talking about "fuck single player", what do you guys think about the new Battlefront game? I was gonna try the beta but you need to use Origin and I wasn't going to install it just for a beta.
 
I have high hopes for the Nintendo NX. Nintendo needs it.

Anyone here registered to the Overwatch beta? I am not a huge Blizzard fan, but I like TF2 and cool character designs.
 
Ive been playing the lowrider dlc today. It is alright, but now its been sorta ruined for me since modding your car period forces you to spend 300k to add hydraulics whether you want to or not and you cant add anything to your car otherwise. Seems like cash card milking to me.

Has anyone played Darkest Dungeon? It looks really appealing and up my street. The art design and narration looks positively delightful.

Should I wait until full release? I'm pretty sure it's early next year, so it's not that long of a wait.

It's very fun and is quite good in its current state, I recommend it. It is hard and heartbreaking because you'll spend a lot of time on party members only to get squashed hard out of nowhere and basically lose all your progress.
 
Anyone remember the demo video that played after you finished "The Last of Us" about an android named Kara? Quantic Dream has just announced that she is getting her own video game, called "Detroit". It's a PS4 exclusive and there's no word yet about a release date, but there's a cool trailer for the game.

I played it early on but I advise you to wait since this type of game will get repetitive. Basically you want the full package. It's a damn good game all around. I dig the Lovecraftian vibe.

I remember that, wasn't it a PS3 tech demo?

I thought they ended up making it into a movie or something. It was quite a big release this year.

I am of the ones that liked Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy, but Beyond 2 Souls was just terrible, not only storywise (which I mean, Quantic Dream games are not known to have amazing stories to begin with, so yeah.... that's saying a lot) but also because it's a complete downgrade of Heavy Rain which actually had a lot of different endings and branching story. Hope Kara follows more on the steps of Heavy Rain than Beyond Ellen paige.
 
Beyond Two Souls was a decent rental. I would be pissed if I paid for it, but it played like an interactive movie so it was entertaining despite it's many flaws. David Cage's games are even more self masturbatory than Kojima's as far as the gameplay to cinematic ration is concerned and that whole ego trip thing they have going on. Maybe Cage will pull a Kojima and throw in some more gameplay in his games. :grin:

Almost bought that Fallout Anthology Fatman today at Gamestop but the hate against Bethesda won...this time.
