civ 4, mount & blade warband, sim city 4

God, I hope EA don't muck up Simcity 5. Simcity 4 was a brilliant game.

EA will probably turn it into a FPS - Simcity with GUNS!!!!1

I have been enjoying Tactics despite it's many shortcomings. I never really played it before, other than the first mission, so it is all new to me. My main complaint is that it barely feels like Fallout. They could have at least added the right weapons, armor, and backstory. The Tactics part is misleading too since you usually just run around shooting stuff.

No guns or massive splodies so far in the tech demos of Sim City 5.

I loves me a good Maxis logo in the morning.

I was about to buy Operation Raccoon City today, but I hesitated at the counter. I noticed that the back of the box had a simple one sentence description describing the game, and that kinda made me nervous. I didn't read a review beforehand, so I decided to wait until I heard a few opinions on it. Once I got home I read a few reviews, and it looked like I saved myself some grief. The single player looked like it would be fun, but apparently it wasn't. I knew the multiplayer would be the main focus, but I expect a decent single player experience too. Some have even called this the worst resident evil game to date. Damn shame really. Well, add another mediocre Resident Evil title to the list:

Resident Evil Survivor
Resident Evil Gaiden
Resident Evil Outbreak 1 and 2
Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City

For the record, I have liked every Resident Evil game at least a little. Even Survivor had it's cool moments. I will probably buy this game anyway, because I love the series, but I refuse to pay $70 bucks for a game with shitty single player.

Fuck Slant Six. They need to stick to SOCOM.

So I guess I am stuck playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Manhattan Missions on DOSBOX.

Playing Dark Sun: Shattered Lands at the moment, nice game. After that I will try out Burntime now that my DosBox configuration works.

I also have to finish Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I am close to the end I think.

I usually have a game of Defcon running in the background in realtime, but sometimes this game creeps me out too much with the sterile text, the sad music and those "Berlin hit: 5,4 Million" dead messages etc. :|

Finished the first Kyrandia game and now I have a serious 'Westwood Games' fever. Will give Eye of the Beholder and Lands of Lore series a spin as soon as I'm finished with the Kyrandia games.

Blade Runner!
Loved that game.
I almost bought a gamepad today 'cause I'm seriously in the mood for some SNES games.
Maybe next time.

Playing Starcraft Broodwar.

Old games are great.

Aren't they though? I just upgraded from a 386 to a 486, just imagine the games that I will now be able to play on it:

Arcanum (2001)
Beyond Good & Evil (2003)
Neverwinter Nights (2002)
The Ur-Quan Masters (2002, originally from 1992)
Warlords II Deluxe (1995) on DOSBox
Civ III (2001)

Also I suppose Fallout 3 if I get all the above done. Hm... Portal?

I play too many games lately.. :o

Finished Dark Sun yesterday.

I ordered Dark Souls the day before yesterday too and played it all day. Thats a damn addictive game I gotta say. :D Really fun, atmospheric and fucking hard.

On DX:HR I have some "syndrome" I oftne have in gaming. When I notice in a game that it soon reaches the end but I enjoy it so much, I tend to delay the endgame as long as possible because I dont want the game to end. :D This sometimes even results in me pausing the game for a few days/weeks. Meh. Do you guys have the same sometimes?

That's a dirty lie. I've been on Win 98 for years now, the exclusive Second Edition.

Doesn't get better than 98 - actually Requiem: Avenging Angel, one of my favorites from the late 90s only seems to run properly with 98. Anything else (XP+) and it complains bitterly. Checkout the special powers...

Been playing Sacred 2 Gold edition, and surprisingly it's a damn solid game. Especially compared to the mess it was when I tried it on release. Looks good, plays smooth... Having lots of fun with it in a nutshell.

THis made me redownload the ur-quan masters. I've always enjoyed it, but the battles were too much of a chore to get fully engaged, I'd skip combat if I could.

Got my hands on L.A Noir. Heard a lot of good and bad things about this game. Gonna give it a spin today and see what it's all about.

Also, I hope this ain't fucking true.

Dangit I hope they don't, that game has such an interesting premise.

Currently playing Deus Ex: HR, accurate stun weapons that don't cause the enemies to run around screaming for five minutes before they fall over really ruins my Deus Ex immersion. :V

Almost finished Jagged Alliance - Back in Action. Then I got bored with it. Lacked the depth and tactical options turn based offered, but not extremely bad overall.

Finished Mass Effect. I don't get all the fuss over it's ending, it offered 3 choices that were in line with the story. Some people don't seem to get SF.

Played Deus Ex HR, got bored with it.
Played Torment, but it crashed irreparably midgame. Bit frustrated there, as it was quite good.

Playing FO FIXT.

Hope to start NWN, been trying to start it for years.

If you mean Bioware's NWN (not Obsidian's NWN2), I'd recommend skipping the original campaign, since it's mostly boring. The continuity basically goes expansion 1 => expansion 2, with only one cameo from the OC which doesn't matter much anyway.
