General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I just finished the first episode of The Walking Dead: The Game. It was a really good point and click adventure game. I would say it is worth getting. I'm looking forward to playing the rest of the episodes when they come out.

I may wait until all the episodes are complete first though. 2 to 4 hours of gameplay is disheartening.

Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide was a bit naff. Perhaps the type of character I chose (druid/shifter) just wasn't any good. I'd be more effective bashing away with normal weapons and armour so basically all the levels I put into shifter were wasted (and I didn't realize from the start I was giving up spellcasting progression entirely). I was a bit disappointed since I heard the expansions were better than the original campaign. However, I started on Hordes of the Underdark and am liking it much more so far (with an infinitely more effective character).

Strange, SoTU is my favourite, even if it's a bit short. I liked the story better, too.

Here's the thing about Shifters though - it's a weird prestige, one I never quite figured out. Also IIRC, they were added in HoTU and don't get the awesome stuff until higher levels. Considering that you'd finish SoTU at around 13-15, you miss out on a lot. So maybe it was your choice of a character. I still remember how much I enjoyed it with a blackguard years ago.

Dang it, Risen 2 should win some sort of medal for the crappiest boss fights and the most unsatisfying ending ever. At least it's over now. Kinda grows on you, but damn, it's a far cry from the first.

Also, it's got the coolest bug ever - locks you out of the only trainer who teaches the highest-tier sword-fighting skills after you use a certain dialogue option with him  I guess I woulda been more mad about it if the combat actually didn't suck so bad.

Something about GTA being cool I guess?

Played through Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space. What a gem!

I can't believe that although a game can be completed in twenty minutes and the content is small enough to where most of what you see in one game is in all of them what you find is so very deep. I could play two identical games, but just my choice in movement changes everything I encounter afterward.

If you don't know what I'm talking about the game is only like $5. It's also worth at least 10 hours of gameplay.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Playing occassional Diablo II sessions alone and with a friend and its fun. Never really played that far (finished nightmare difficulty and even found some sweet set items for my necro already) when I first played it, so its great fun.

I am also playing Alan Wake I grabbed for 4 € to relax infront of TV a bit, and its a surprisingly decent game, albeit with a bit too much shooting. I like the scenery and mood and the story feels great so far.

Wasting away free time in Kingdoms of Amalur, and it's surprisingly well-crafted and addicting so far. It's kinda like something in between Sacred 2 and Divinity 2. It's also "casual" as f*ck, but hey, so long as it's fun...

You didn't find the game in the least bit.....confusing? I didn't get the ending at all!

I'm playing Minecraft since I'm too broke to get a new game

I'm playing the newest supermod version of Trigger Maru for Silent Hunter 4. Some bug in it or something, every time I hit the dive key I just dive and dive till the boat pops from pressure. Even blowing ballast for emergency surface does nothing. :lalala:

I played an Alan Wake demo, it was fun, but the story(from what I read) sounded confusing. I'm level 19 on Fallout 3 and am looking for the White House and trying to get to level 20 before I beat the last quest. I play Minecraft sometimes. I also play AD&D 2e(weekly) and Pathfinder(PbP).

I think you have to get the DLC (someone correct me if I'm wrong) to understand the ending. I think you can only go to the White House via Broken Steel.

Well I am not through it, so please don't spoiler me. ;) I actually like when stories leave me a bit clueless, sounds pretty good.
