General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Also been revisiting Baldur's Gate. It's the Enhanced Edition tho it was not required several mods would have done the same thing.

Well, there were no mods that could let you play on native resolution and let you zoom in. That was my personal biggest gripes about the games.

I tried out Brutal Doom 64 just now. Off to a good start considering it is the initial releases. I'm not a fan of Zandronum but whatever.

I've progressed a lot in Sunless Sea. My 5th Captain has done well. I was able to get married and sire a Scion to protect my assets in case of death. Playing the game with permadeath really is the best way to go. I especially like how they update the game constantly with new stories, like the one I just tried with a Krampus-like demon that made me sacrifice my crew mates on the way to his next victims.

Aside from that I briefly tried out Rimworld, which is just begging for a Fallout mod. There is a small one but it isn't that great. They do however have a Lovecraft mod which will occupy me at some point in the future.

I have given Bloodborne a bit of a break since I currently am at a point where I need to grind and I don't' like to do that alone. It is so hard to find people to play with in that game. I recently learned that From Software started off with the King's Field series. Cool stuff.

I almost bought Grim Dawn last night but I'm unsure if I will like it. Replacing Diablo 2 is so hard to do. I still hear the music in my head. I've never even beat the damn game though. Diablo 1 either even though I've gotten close. I'm such a noob. Diablo - kicking my ass since the 90's. Diablo 3 can go to hell.

Let's see what else? Duke Nukem World Tour was a bit of a cash grab, but it was fun. I didn't own the game on Steam so I gave it a whirl, even though I know Gearbox are screwing Duke fans by removing Megaton - luckily I downloaded it so it doesn't bug me much. I miss Duke. If Wang can get a new game, Duke and Caleb should too.

I'm about to try an old game called King of Dragon Pass I got off GOG. They don't make them like they used to. I've considered getting back into Don't Starve, but I'm kinda waiting to find someone to play Don't Starve Together with.

Tried the demo of Mafia 2, looks pretty good and works ok on my old PC. Still pretty high price on Steam though, might wait for a discount.

People criticise Mafia - games for trying to be like GTA's. I wish they did their own thing fully. You make a huge city and world and then don't make good missions? Try to please the console-kids with endless shoot-em-up and flying and exploding cars? Just keep that in GTA and keep the Mafia games classy and adult.

Grim Dawn is without a doubt the best Diablo clone i've played. Heck i even like it more than D2 in certain areas! Sadly the only online play is like open bnet.. Wich could be troublesome :P

You can get mafia 2 deluxe edition for less than 6 euro on kinguin.

literally the first thing that came up when looking up the game. The fact that some people still take this website with shit like this and last scandals bewilders me.

The Ace Attorney games never disappoint with the music. I bought it on a whim, wasn't really expecting to play it when I did, but I am glad I bought it. It's really up there with Trials & Tribulattions on the upper echelon of the franchise, has the highest stakes in the entire series and has a lot of emotional and awesome moments without disappearing into it's own ass like so many story based games that get shat out on console nowadays. Gonna buy the DLC later this year, it will be cool to see the original 4 protagonists reunite.

Finally beat FTL! After 30 hours, finally got through once :drunk:
Still, Hard Victory is still there to get.
17 second orgasm

Just been playing the Sims 4 and you know EA it would be great if you released a "expansion" that didn't have a shit ton of bugs on launch. Maybe I will make a review for this game sometime soon. Other then that I am patiently waiting until Dracomies updates New Vegas Redesign 3 to 4 until I make a new playthrough of New Vegas. May play The Witcher 2 in the mean time.

Can someone verify, is that site Kinguin really reliable? How does it work? I pay the 6 euros or whatever and I get the game from Steam?

It is like ebay most of the time. People are selling keys on the site. Just look for someone with a lot of keys sold and a good rating. Bought several games from there and g2a without a single problem.

Edit: Give me a shout if you need help and i'll give you a hand.

Don't know about Kinguin in particular, but it's not uncommon that keys sold on sites like that are acquired through illegal means. Might not be a problem, but every once in a while publishers will ban such keys and even though you bought the game yourself through legitimate channels, you're fucked.

If the key get revoked their support will be there for you. Never had it happen to me myself and i know G2A is a bit worse.. But so far i've had 0 problems with Kinguin in particular.

Im cheating on mount n blade. Just playing it for fun, really. Decided to cheat when i realized how incompetent swadia is. The war betweeb us, the desert dwellers, khergit and rhodoks lasted for almost a year and collectively they fucked us over completely.

Tried playing viking conquest but i dont like the way things are named or how the geography Works or how Bright it is.

Tyranny

Graven ashe protects! :D
Same. Chuggin' spears is as fun as ever.
I'm getting into it way easier than Pillars, and I'm not the only one as I've seen a bigger reception.
Love having back the cRPG trait of everyone being super mean

Currently playing AC Black Flag. I'm pretty triggered by the fact that Edward have all of Ezio's abilities right off the bat without any Assassin training. Combat seems super easy now.

perhaps the best pirate simulator i've seen so far. still mad through at storm that seems to spawn out of nowhere, with a waterspout. Oh what lovely day...
