General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Those mods look really weird in a fun way.

But I won't ever mod my game. I had trouble getting it to run, I have a feeling modding it would break it.

Yeah, I wanted to try out the Randomizer, but I forgot. Someone once had the Lordvessel spawn in the Undead Merchant's inventory.

APB Reloaded, I wish I hadn't. The game was always trash, but I feel like it's microtransactions are making it even worse. Seems like everyone is running around with guns that have little to no recoil, high fire rate and can "snipe" you from two blocks away.

I've checked the Armas marketplace (where all the microtransactions are) and it seems like you can ONLY get these weapons from there. Complete garbage.

I picked up Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil Revelations 2 which were on sale on Steam and have been trying out both four the last ten hours.

Years ago I played almost all of the Resident Evil games on the Gamecube and on the Playstation 2 and I liked the direction Resident Evil 4 was going.
I did not like Resident Evil 5 however because the companion AI felt so needy and useless and ignored the series for a while until I played Resident Evil Revelations a couple of years ago.
Revelations was a pretty good RE game.

Revelations 2 continues on Rev 1 though I get the idea that Rev 1 had more ammunition pick ups that Rev 2 has, but as a result Rev 2 is perhaps closer to the original games regarding survival.

Resident Evil 6 is a lot more action packed in comparison and also looks visually much better but I don't think the gameplay was really that up to par.

To be honest, playing these two games made me realize that I had rather lost my interest in the Resident Evil series.
I never found it that great to begin with but it was entertaining and the gameplay really improved with RE4.

Rev 2 is okay but I found RE6 rather boring to be honest, it rather feeling like a chore to go through.
And I am not at all curious in how the storyline will play out.

I may finished Rev 2 but I won't be continuing RE6.

The White Chamber
Freeware Stasis. More than a decade old point and click adventure in sci-fi setting, with anime-style graphics being the only drawback so far. Female protagonist included, with a violet squid attached to her vertex, and wearing ski boots!

New enhanced version of Catherine announced for next year on the PS4 and PSvita.
It has a new girl called Rin apparently as a third Catherine.
She seemingly has a big surprise too from the looks of the trailer.

She seemingly has a big surprise too from the looks of the trailer.
She's probably has stupendously strong thighs capable of holding onto anything between them. :wiggle:

Kidding aside, I am glad that Catherine is getting an enhanced version. I missed getting the original so it'll be a consolation to get this version at least.

Speaking of PS4, I recently got one, but I don't really know many new games - there are 10-15 titles I plan on getting, but aside from that I know very little.

Recommendations?

Catherine looks...I dunno, what the hell is that game?

You also get alcohol trivia by getting wasted before going to sleep and stop a supernatural plot to kill people in their dreams by throwing ass monsters at them in dream towers full of symbolism.

Breath of the Wild director Hideomaro Fujibayashi told GamesRadar:

“I wouldn’t say that we’re not concerned with the timeline. It’s obviously something that we know is very important to people, and they do a lot of research on. But I think at this point, we’re not really at the stage where we want to talk about where Breath of the Wild is in the timeline. I think, as with the pixelated food, it’s something that at this point we want to leave up to people’s imaginations.”

Series producer Eiji Aonuma also spoke about the Zelda timeline as well. He explained that Nintendo doesn’t create games and then start thinking about where it fits in the timeline, and prefers “to leave things to the imagination most of the time.”

“We published a book with the timeline, but we definitely got comments from users saying, ‘Is this really accurate? I think this should be this way. It’s different.’ And history is always kind of imaginative. It’s left to the person who writes the book. So that’s how we approach it as well. It’s not necessarily that we come up with a game and think, ‘Oh, this is where it fits in the timeline.’ Honestly, lately, we’re kind of scared to say exactly where things are in the timeline for that reason. But we like to leave things to the imagination most of the time.”

Must be why it feels like the game can take place in several spots. Personally I pick at the very end after Adventures of Link.

Played PUBG. Did absolutely nothing but run from a wall of lightning for 10 minutes not finding a single person then got killed by a guy in a trenchcoat in 2 shots. Definetly don't get the appeal.

What is PUBG anyway?

When I originally saw that thing I thought it was just another in the Minecraftesque survival games, this time without zombies. I don't really get the appeal of those games.
Except maybe The Long Dark.
