I just think it would be easier to have a new series with Harrison gone. If Shia is the replacement then Indy is dead to me. I like Shia in some movies, but not in Indy.

You made me think of an indiana jones film directed by Michael Bay.

That would rock! Indy could pilot a spaceship to the moon where he stumbles upon ancient alien ruins. Then Indy would have to save the planet from a rogue asteroid. At the end Indy would be be forced to sacrifice his life to save the Earth.

Truth be told, they should probably stop with the Indy and Star Wars stuff. Is it too hard to come up with original ideas?

I dunno, apart from Lucas' aversion to decent Star Wars I reckon Rogue Squadron would make an excellent movie or television series.

I loved the comic mini series so I would be all for an animated show, as long as its intended for young adults and older, and not damn kids.

Rogue Squadron would be a pretty good movie. I never thought of that. I think the Rogue Squadron games were some of the best titles that they ever put out. That is something I would look forward to seeing. It would be much better than the constant Clone Wars crap.

Genndy Tartakovsky mini series was awesome. Maybe they should bring him to try and make a good Star Wars series, he is just done with CN fucking over his latest Masterpiece.

Yeah, I went to see The Muppets Movie with my Nephew, and the first Thing I see when walking upstairs to go the right Room is this Gigantic Ad for The Phantom Menace in 3D with cut outs and everything.

“The first film was really hard,” says Lucas. “It was painful. It was unpleasant. We never had enough time or enough money, and we were always compromising on everything, and it was a difficult experience all the way around.”

What a whiny bitch. It's funny that he doesn't realize how much better those movies were because of the lack of money. His team had to think outside the box, and work even harder, and that was what made Star Wars unique. Some of the best movies were filmed in rough work environments; like Blade Runner for instance. Pumping money into a movie doesn't necessarily make it better. So basically he hates the series that made him famous, but he likes being rich. Why does this piss me off so much? I guess Lucas must be a blast to work with. Sounds like a real cheese-dick.

Endrant

Mock him for lazily directing the new films by sitting on his ass, if you will. That was certainly shitty, and had its impact on the films, they were really boring.

But I wouldn't make fun of the hard work he did on Star Wars IV. It's worth respect, it was a blood-sweat-tears labor of love, even if he doesn't see it like that anymore.

I wasn't really making fun of the work he did, but more the irony of his statement. The original trilogy was great because the special effects weren't CG and really lame looking. It made it even worse when he added crappy CG to the original trilogy as well. So him complaining about a lack of money in Episode 4 is hilarious because that's why that movie was such a success. They had to be more creative. Lucas is one of the most renowned directors, but he really sucks at it. He sits on his ass most of the time anyway. The mental strain can be considered work, but I doubt he did any labor worth bitching about. The guy is a legend because of it, so it rubs me wrong when he whines. I used to admire him a lot, so it is a letdown I guess. I'm a bit of an asshole I guess but......

Lucas's work definitely suffered from his success. He's one of those creative people who benefits from having a superior authority forcing him to justify his actions because it keeps him from drifting off into the La-La Land of his imagination.

The C3P0 "comedy" bits in episode two are extremely painful to watch. Someone ought to have said, "George, this C3P0 stuff is really lame. Cut it out." But who's going to say that to George these days?

They wouldn't either because they would never get a job in the industry again.
