You know have been watching this thread for a while and I can tell there is a lot of talent here, makes me want to give this graphics modding thing a shot, I have had this idea for an Evil Dead 2 style Ash character mod, but with the chainsaw on his arm I would need to tweak the animation's to make it look, well, as natural as a guy with a chainsaw for hand can.

Not a bad idea. A while ago i thought this animation could be easily converted into a chainsaw swing:




But then the sledge swing could probably be converted just as easily. Anyway, i think an Army of Darkness reference for FO2 would be awesome (but i'm one of the few that loves the pop culture references :D)

I love it too!! :) I have like 50 or so of those "crazy ideas", but it'll never get done... :( ...that one frame has parts from 4 different animations, so...no matter how much i could try to fool myself, i'll never have the required amount of patience and willpower for it. :(
 
Say, we from FOnline would be very interested in that gayish-cassidy-metzger.

It would be enough to have the death and rifle animations, nothing more. If you're in the mood, you can make some more weapons, but rifle is already enough for us.

BUT i think i found a method, to edit all armors in one step. I am not joking!

you can work on AA for exp for all the armors at one time! :wink:

that would save us many many time!

BUT i need some one who can script some Photoshop, not much and not difficult just, that he opens different files (images) into one PDS

that you do not need do ths hell of work manually. SO i really hope in interest of all the community, ex aptly guys like josan and all critter modders. That some one can spend 10 minutes to write this script ;)

So when you interested write or PM me. I had a long break with modding but for now i am back in the scene (cause in 2 weeks i will not have longer a job^^ so i will have a lot of free time ) :mrgreen:

Ok, i'll finish the necessary animations and with Josan12's help it shouldn't take too long, but... a couple of things; it will, of course, take a while, because the long hair dude takes precedence and second, i'm not really sure about the rifle animations because it would take a lot of extra work given that the tribal animation doesn't have the rifle ones... :( ...other weapon animations will be done for it, of course, but the rifle... we'll see...

Well, it doesn't have to be rifle per se, pistol or SMG animations would be excellent as well. Hell, even unarmed only should work, but I would like (personally) to have at least one more with "gunz".
 
I allow me to post a little add-on to the lisac2K tutorial.
Sometime, after having modified all your frames in reloaded your FPR of work, you aren't able to save it in FRM.
You have a screen like that.


It means that there is a missing frame that frameanimator can't load.

In our exemple we have apparently 6 frames from 0 to 5 (remember your interval when your were child at school :) )
So check all the position to see where it misses a frame.


In our case it's on the last postion.
look



Just open it again in your software of graphism.
And put it in indexed color like that.



If you haven't already load the fallout palet, just load it.
It's in your frameanimator directory and it's called default.act
apply it.
and save the frame overwritting the old one.
Reload your FPR.
If it was your only missing frame, you have now the right to save your work in FRM ;)

Edit:I ear some people say :"Hey brother, say no to the drug ! you can add your proper missing frame with the adequat button in frame animator..."

that a lonhair dude mod for the hero ecist i know but is there the same idea for a bald gyu?

I think he want to talk about your second animation.
Watch closer, vault cassidy seems moving on the place from right to left but without moving their legs.
It's not a big problem.
Watch the difference with a original one.

There is also a kind of different shadow in the legs between your one and an original one.

For your "problem" of position, normally you 'd not have it if you use frameanimator and export the native NMVALTAA.frm by saving it in FPR.
It 'll ask you in what name you want to save your FRM (the floppy icon) and then it'll save all the bmp frames with natural position in your directory.

How do you do Mr.Wolna?
The most important I think it start with the native body as source and add your modified element.
arms, head.
Not the invers, because if not, you will have parasite mouvement if you're a beginner.If not, it means you reposition each new frame one by one. And I think it's a waste of time.

A. Original File A1(layer 1) ,A2 and so on, that you do not need make this manuel.


So at the end with script and a record function that i alredy have. you have only to open and make this one step like in the vid.

This is smart. Really smart.

So it should work if the model used by the original dev was the same, right? apparently the 2 leather, metal armor, and jumpsuit, but not combat armor. While you are at it, could you maybe try it on the Ian blue pants guy?
How does it look for the other animation, no problem?
And you think it is possible to automate the process?
And that is with photoshop, right?

Something like this could also be used for the transfering the original black guy on others. We finish manually the metal armor. And then past it automatically on all the other armors. Or we make a model with blue hair, transfer it. And then we have all possible hair combination.
Well, even if we can't make it automatically, it is a very interessting method, wich seems to be without any glitch.

for this time i do not find any errors, shure you will be to correct some little thinks i think BUT ist still very fast.

and yeah right now i am on my way to automat it with PS.

we will see, i work on it.
 
By God, the man's a genius. If this is a process that can automated, pretty much any combination of existing sprites can be quickly created, right?

Think of the possibilities! New, exciting redheaded PC to be beaten like a stepchild.
 
i think i can make a method, to AUTOMATE ALL.

so you dont need make manuel like in my VID.

BUT first you have ti place the frames in the right order, BUT that is not much work.

edit: no script need anymore, i have all finish what i need.

edit2: with combat armor there are some problems, cause the helmet is too big -.-
