Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

Thanks for the extra details Helios :). I've never played around with the Mr.Fixit Mod, it looks interesting.
Your fix will of course be in the next version of the hi-res patch.

A new version of my Fallout 2 patch is up and about.
In this version it's now possible to set the resolution in game as well as some of the graphics related setting for sfall as well, if Timeslip's mod is present. The menu for setting the res is still a work in progress so let me know what you think. I've also added some side art for the Iface-bar, if you find it offensive it can be easily replaced or disabled.
More details can be found in the change log and read-me.

Links to the patch can be found in the first post and my sig :)

Those leather stripes on the interface look really nice, and they are reasonable as well...Great work, Mash!! :)

Why does all of the video look like this in windowed mode?

are there settings I can mess with to fix this?

It does look like your using an earlier version of sfall.
Here's a link for the latest version from Timeslip's page Sfall.
If your using the Restoration Project, you will need to change some settings in the ddraw.ini file once you have the new version installed, otherwise you will run into some problems. Here's a link to one of my earlier posts which contains the settings. http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=556071&highlight=#556071

That's kind of weird.

I tested various resolutions in sfall's window mode without any problem. Does Full screen mode have the same problem?
Could you post the settings your using for the Hi-Res patch and Sfall?

Not to insult your intelligence or anything but just to absolutely confirm the most current version of sfall is being used, could you right click your ddraw.dll choose properties and under details check if the File version is 1.42?

bah, I double checked and I realized that I screwed up, I accidentally extracted the old sfall 7Z file I had and so nothing ever changed, its updated to 1.42 and everything works perfectly, thanks for being patient with me, I mean its kinda easy to overlook things when its 2 in the morning.

No worries glad its working for you.

For Mr.Wolna:
I added a few more screen shots via the link in the first post.

@Mash
Great work ;)
No problems at moment with the new Version.
My suggestion would be enlarge the console on the left side.

Aaaah, I'd love to see that happen (if we talk about the same thing). Meaning I'd love to be able to see more lines there (bigger screen, smaller font maybe). I guess that's hard work though, if it's even possible, right?

Another thing that would be nice to have is the ability to scroll the console text with the mouse wheel when hovering over the console. That could be a job for sfall though.

EDIT: Actually I don't think we talk about the same thing, sorry. I mean the console in the game, not the one where you change the resolution.

I don't get those options in that console, not really a complaint because I can use those arrows to change the res, I actually started work on an art mod to make the blank console a little more interesting.

Not without changing some code although it wouldn't be hard. I was uncertain if there were any other mods out there changing the main-menu and I didn't want to step on any toes. I agree that the exit button would look better on the bottom and I might change that in the next release.

You will probably notice that all the text on the settings window and the main-menu button are frm images, as I haven't played around with the fonts much yet. So the non-English version are stuck with the English text for now. Although an industrious person could modify my frm's easy enough.
I'll be working on getting fallout1 and the mapper2 mods up to speed next, before entering another R&D faze to sort out interface scaling and whatnot.
