HipHopGamer interviews Pete Hines

Can you imagine if such guys like this HipHopGamer will get a job as a journalist?

"Welcome to the "Games y'all" program. Today we're gonna talk about Fallout 4!

It's awessome! Those guyz at Befesda are f*ing cool and they now how to make cool games.

I'll just say to y'all- Buy it! If you don't, you're a moron and a pussy licker asshole!"

The heads of Zenimax Bethesda while watching this; "Excellent"

And this, my friends, is all you need to watch if you want to know how a shallow RPG-lite game like Fallout 3 is so popular with the mainstream audience.

That's the problem with companies like Beth, they only look at the positive reviews, ignoring the criticism.

I'm sorry, but huh?

It's always good to listen to criticism, but right now the vast majority of reviews are positive, with only a handful of critical ones. Bethesda is just reading it as it is.

I think the media are giving off the wrong vibe, and I can guarantee you they will do a 180 come TES V, just like they did on Oblivion. But seriously, you can't blame Bethesda for the fact that quite a few journos are not that competent or have that much integrity, like the way this HHG guy laced the entire interview full of bloated compliments.

Of course, I mean if you're a pussy licker then you're not going to be willing to give these folks blow jobs in exchange for positive reviews. Once you take those away these guys will never get any action.

I kid of course (hate it when this feels necessary).

What's wrong with Web 2.0 is it doesn't exist.

Bingo!

It's an "invention" of some really bored guy. I can't believe so many people are "buying" it.

"Games y'all" sounds more like a Southern redneck version =) Let's do that one next!

Right, and most of the old fallout fans are possitive about FO3 too, huh? Look at NMA, people seems to just LOVE Fallout 3.

Oh yeah, and on Beth's forums, negative posts about Fallout 3 are always welcome and absolutely will never get deleted.

It's not like Oblivion's criticisms weren't there. GameSpy's cons, for example, included "Bugs and technical issues; Poor character animations; AI limitations; console-style interface." Fixed, fixed, and fixed, eh?

Although you may have some point there, let's be clear and not blame overpraising media coverage for BethSoft's inherent incompetence.

"Web 2.0" is so 2004. It's all about "cloud computing" nowadays. Get with the times.

They promised to fix those aspects in several previews and interviews, so it's not like they didn't acknowledge these criticisms at all.
However, their attempts to "fix" these issues were incredibly sub par, and depending on your viewpoint, other issues such as level scaling or AI were "fixed" in ways that only made them terrible in a different form.

Actualy I was surprised to nothear "hola hola get dollar" in this RAPinterview.

Uh... yeah. This guy from hiphopgamer.com is one of the worst interviewers I've ever had the misfortune to hear. And how exactly does he get his tongue in Peter Hine's ass from that far away?!

I agree that hip hop culture is a bad thing as much as it embodies poor grammar, ignorance, materialism, and misogyny. However, this guy isn't near as bad as some people are making him out to be. I can understand what he's talking about, and some of his questions are reasonably well informed. Of course he is a suck up and doesn't ask questions that would put Pete on the spot, but neither would most of the mainstream video game press. I just don't think he's so bad in comparison to them, and I don't think he carries his hip hop act into the realm of the ridiculous (Flava Flav makes a living doing that). Not a role model for future orators of America certainly, but not as bad as some gamer message boards.

Anyone looking for an accurate synopsis of Pete Hines' responses need look no further.
