Howard Todd talks FO:5 and some other shit

The thing i dislike the most about these mod conversions is that it comes with all the warts the game being converted has. Imagine going through all the trouble of converting a game but you also do it for the bad parts.

At least if they were actually fixed, it might be worth it to be excited. But to be just a straight up 1:1? Yeah, i ain't interested.
 
Bethesda are insanely stupid for not milking their cashcows.
They are sitting on free money with Fallout, just let another studio make a game in a different genre.
We could have had a straight up fps, seriously during the great war, or a Game based on the old style.
Anything really, Fallout deserves to be milked a little, And it can be useful to try out new ideas.

I don't even think the ideas in Fallout 4 are bad. Being the leader of your own group of communuties is something which suits the series well.
They just need to develop it more, let us be mayors with our own Law And order And for the citezens to riot.

Well, then there's a question of what is a "bad part" and how it should be fixed which will differ for everyone.
Some would outright omit San Francisco in a FO2 conversion but I like it and would keep it.

They don't want to be one-upped by anyone like they was when it came to FNV.

Graphics. Animation. Bugs. To put it mildly if we're talking about Skyrim in particular it's simply very outdated. In both mechanics and visuals. But no mod is going to fix that. Hell even a professional development studio couldn't. Like when you look how New Vegas was build on Fallout 3. And thus also had all the anoying gameplay elements in it and bugs too. Not to speak of the really shitty visuals. I mean I get it there is a lot of preference here yeah. But I mean com on. You do know the general complaints here. For example that neither Skyrim nor any of Bethesdas games really has strong role playing elements in it. And there are mods that try to improve on this and some even did a decent job here, but it's like trying to piece a broken glass bottle together. It always leaks somewhere ...
 
Either back in it’s day or even now Skyrim still looks fine.

It would be terrible if open world games started to focus on graphics even more than they already do. Maybe a somewhat more stylized look would be a better approach here.

It's not just about the looks though. Graphic is more than just that. It's also about how optimised the engine is, how well it can display something and so on. It doesn't have to mean that it looks photorealistic or something like that. But Skyrim at this point is simply outdated in those areas.
 
Bethesda engine has always looked to me like the characters ice skate across the screen when they run.

Now I feel like making a video of Fallout 3, New Vegas, or 4, with characters moving around while music run during ice skating competitions runs on the background.
 
It would be pretty hilarious if no future Fallouts by Bethesda come out due to 76 making enough bank for them to merely put out token expansions in 76 and then, claim that the story in said expansions are the culmination of the story started in 1.

Anywho, I honestly couldn't care less about future Bethesda titles though I'm still open to being proven wrong (unlikely as that sounds). I wonder if being Microsoft owned will guarantee actual QA testing or whether Microsoft will interfere like crazy and ruin all of Bethesda's IPs.
 
Did he reveal where he biys his leather jackets? I want one on the size of my cats so I can take funny pictures of them.

I know its childish but how much I would like this title to utterly fail.
Not just being okay or average. Just plain and utterly bad.
And that people finally see how full of shit Todd really is as a game developer.

He and his gang have ruined something I cared about so I would like to see his dream project be a disappointment that will be remembered for years to come.

But who am I kidding, people will just buy it and claim it is the best thing ever.

People didn’t know he’s full of shit from the start?!? I hate that guy with all my guts and what he did to the Fallout series and Black Isle Studios.
