The High Roller
My first Fallout game was Fallout 3. I loved it. It was one of the first open world games I've ever played, so the standards were pretty low. When I stumbled upon NMA for the first times, I was genuinely surprised that there were so many people who disliked the game. I just brushed them off as being blind haters.
I got New Vegas, and I was instantly turned off from it because of the map design.
I started becoming more and more interested into Fallout, so I played the classics. They were strange compared to the modern ones, but I started to really love them.
I played NV again, and I started to pick up on a lot more of the humor, references, lore, and details. I started to like NV more than FO3.
My last mistake was trusting Bethesda to correct their mistakes. While I think it's better than FO3 overall, FO4 is probably one of my most disapointing games of all time. It does so much stuff horribly.
Bethesda caters to the masses, simplifying game after game. It's almost as if they just try to replace their fanbases every decade or so.
Anyway, sorry for being a Bethesda fanboy. I've tried going to Fallout communities like Reddit, but I was turned off by how circlejerky it is. I hope NMA is more reasonable.
