Interplay Entertainment Corp. Investor Conference

Looks correct.
Don't forget that they have plans for the Icewind Dale license, what ever that means. :)

They also lost the Icewind Dale license, I heard, but that's probably normal since they lost the BG license (right???? I dunno a lot about how these licenses work...)

EDIT:

I heard they lost that license, I'm pretty sure of that.

The next Dark Alliance game will be with a new licensed engine. It will be set in a new Interplay world, not on a DnD world
Also not using the D20 rule set. The question was asked if it would be SPECIAL plus something extra and the answer was in the affirmative. Not sure exactly what it is that makes it Dark Alliance then...

Blade Runner; They did mention plans for the Icewind Dale license. So either they're planning on getting parts of the DnD-license back or something.
No idea.
But plans were mentioned in the conference :)

BG and IWD aren't connected AFAIK, but I'm not sure about it.
And you might be right about it, I heard "Icewind Dale" being mentioned but I'm not sure whether they lost it or not...

Oh, okay, but they don't have the license now, right? They have to get it back or what? Damned nasal voices....

I don't think any of us got what they said.

Lord; They use the same rule set, but not on the same world? I'ven't played the IWD-games.
If the rule set is what's lacking, they could do something different and still put it in the IWD-world.

Kharn; Maybe you should skip the Icewind Dale part then :D Since we're not really sure about what he said about it.

Way ahead of you, I already did. It's not that important anyway...

Newspost already made

I agree.

EDIT: Oops, can't delete this redundant post... Sorry

he said that they gave up the WotC license, including baldur's gate 3 and icewind dale, in a trade for the full rights to baldur's gate: dark alliance.

BG: DA3 will be created in the same universe, but they won't be able to use the DnD ruleset anymore (not like they did in the first place).

Icewind Dale and BG3 are effectively dead.

They also mentioned that when they do make their new fallout action RPG, it will not be an original engine, they intend to use someone else's engine.

Keep an eye out for...

Fallout: Dark Alliance, yet another weak h&s game that will undoubtedly entertain some people in 3rd-world countries as Interplay dumps the unsold discs onto their heads.

sounds to me like they've dropped the jefferson engine alltogether. maybe atari picked it up? part of the trade?
