Well, after about 6 years of lurking, suaside convinced me to register here, when I saw him at #fallout at quakenet.
I really appreciate what the staff here and the regulars have done, in keeping everybody updated on fallout news and other post-apoc stuff. Keep it up.

i won't give you any nooby advice since you've been around anyway. ;)

PS: #fallout on Qnet is a horrible channel... i've also got #troika where i sit lonely all day long as tribute ;) so if regulars read this, feel free to drop by there instead at the finnish spamfest of #fallout.

anyhow, Wr4i7h promised me to get us some pics from his father's collection of 50's radios etc. he showed me some lower quality ones & it does indeed look mighty interesting if he could open a few of them and take some quality shots.

in other words: bug him at every until he gets us quality shots! :twisted:
 
Heh, #fallout is pretty inane now with all the new people, but it used to be okay...
Anyway, i'll make a thread tomorrow with the radios, and the other stuff. Unfortunately, you'll all have to put up with low-res (800*600) images, since I don't have a decent camera right now, only a cellphone. This whole thing "surfaced" when we were talking about a detail in the teaser: the valve tubes aren't quite well made.

How's it going everyone? I've been a routine visitor to NMA since the late 90s. Unfortunately, I've never been to the forum; the posts of the new scans from Game Informer for F3 lured me into the forum realm.

I first played F1 when it came out in 97. I was a sophomore in high school and I remember I would bring the manual into Chemistry, read it, and show my friends the funny pictures of pipboy. I remember when I was nearing the end of F1 for the first time I think I played the game for 5 straight hours until I beat it. I remember I had to keep playing the last scene so that Dogmeat would stay alive because I'm meticulous like that!!

I am an Adventure game whore and collect them like something that collects a lot. I also collect other games but mostly adventure.

I love Post-Apocalyptic stuff; in fact, tomorrow with some friends, we're having a Mad Max night. (My tradition with any Post-Apocalyptic movie is to go to Quizno's and get a Chicken Carbonara. I've done this for a very long time.) ...I love dark comedies...

I love all types of music: doom, idm, jazz, blues (especially 20s and before), 80s pop, drone, experimental

I love coding and figuring out how things work...

That's about it....oh and I love milk....
