Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hi yas,

Found the forum quite by accident when I was hunting down some sort of solution for my corrupted FOT disc 3 problems. (Which thankfully this fourm helped me solve to I can finally finish FOT.

Me and my lfie partner have been playing pnp rpgs for years (since way back in high school about 10 years ago) and FO is about the only pc rpg we've ever found apporochaes the complexity and depth of the real thing.

I do some fiction writing writing in my spare time (for an example check http://www.kerberos-productions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2677 ) and love modding games. If you really want to know more just check my profile.

Artist, huh? Whatcha worked on, if you aren't under an NDA?

Could've sworn that the higher-ups didn't want any of you guys posting here. Though admittedly, that's just hearsay.

Unless you're an advance scout! [red scare]

I sincerely doubt that's you, so who are you on TES forums? Oh wait, that would dispel your cloak of anonymity.

That seems to be you on DAZ3D, though.

and no, I don't have the power to change anything happening to the game :)

If you want, you can do it. A bit of cyanide in Todd's drink and I'm sure it'll help...

welcome.

contact a moderator or administrator and you'll get a nice lil' custom rank if you prove you are a bethsoft employee (this doesnt equal revealing your identity in any way, i'm sure you can think of something to back up your claim without blowing your cover).

if you don't, well, lets just say most people here will assume you're a troll or a liar.

Ehm, yeah, neat. Or they don't.

There's little reason to not believe him, but there's also little reason to believe him. So meh. If he gets Pete Hines to send me a copy of the E3 video, I'll give him a rank. ;)

In any case, welcome. But for future reference, we have a welcome thread hanging around here so I'll just merge this thread in there.

Welcome all.

I wasn't told explicitly not to post here, but obviously there's no love fest between Beth and NMA going on either.

I'd like to not post a couple of times and then disappear, but we'll see how it goes.

I hope real life pressures don't get in the way and you enjoy yourself here.

Greetings, saw the article in Game Informer about Fallout3, and having no idea what fallout 1 or 2 was, bought a game pack with f1 f2 and tactics and am now addicted to it. Too bad I never played them earlier! Finished f1 and f2, time to try tactics.

Fyi: congrats on having one of the most difficult account signups I've seen. It was like pin the tail on the donkey with "guess what email they'll accept". Hope it keeps down the spam like it says. :(

Hi all

Hi, i'm new on this forums... I played Fallout several years ago, but I've recently bought the 'Fallout Collection' pack (I've never played F2 and Fallout Tactics), so I thought this was a good moment to play them. Maybe I'm too old fashioned, but every time I see the 2D graphs in Fallout and Fallout 2 I feel nostalgic... Why the hell haven't they maden the F3 in this way? I remember the pretty screenshots we saw in 2003.

Sorry for my english, I'm from Spain and I do the best I can.

Greetings!

hello , my nikcname is olp1 and i'm addicted of playing fallout :P

i love f1 and f2 , i'm looking forward to f3 .
i'm from poland and i'm glad to be here.

my engish is not very well but maybe you will understand me :)

Hi people!

i've been a PnP player since i can remember (and i'm well in my 30s), and a fallout fan since FO1 fell in my hands. Fallout2 has always been my favorite computer game, although in the start it was quite difficult to me because of the language. i'm spanish (from Spain, right?). i'm with silveressa when she says it's the most PnP RPG ever.

i've been lurking these forums from time to time, but since i knew about the E3 Fallout 3 preview i grew hungry for news!

i have to say i'm one of the few here who believe boys at Bethesda deserves a chance. I don't like them ignoring the fan community nor many of the rumors heard here wich points to them losing the point, but... we'll judge when we play the game.

Hello, new people. Let me remind you, Pretty Please With A Cherry On Top:

- read the stickies and board rules

That is all.

Done, and done. Nice and straight foward, pretty standard fare for forums, and amounts to what should be common sense to anyone that's ever posted on a forum for any length of time.

Also a hello to Silento, Ford, Mad Rock, and Olp1, So far from what I've seen it's the best fallout forum around.

Thank you for being intelligent and seeking out the existing community. Many in your shoes I've seen become part of the dark side of the force "Bethesda fan base" never seeking out the fanbase of the originals.

Holly crap I envy you, getting to play Fallout1&2 for your first time... Fun stuff.

Ello to the others as well.

Hello, I was away for a long time, traveling. But I've moved to a better begining in Australia and it is a wonderful place. It is also a small place, with such characters as Mad Max film screw and Chopper Reed living closeby.

Anyway, I've been playing fallout since the first demo on and off with perhaps 2 month intervals between dead characters. My first true experience with the fallout 1 story was a russian bootleg around 1998, about the time I got F2. Thats about the time I started visting this site, with B-Team mod becoming an essential addon to my fresh installs.

my biggest regret now - not buying a copy of the chinese and korean versions of Fallout 2 when I was there!!! Argh.

Welcome to the forums everyone!

Please, if you havn't already, lurk for a while before posting. Stickies are all good and fun, but it's best to get a feel for the community before jumping into a heated debate.
