Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hello everyone!

I've been reading the NMA forums for quiet some time and decided to join now because I want to comment on some of the news regarding "Fallout 3".

I played both Fallouts shortly after they were released, but both were german versions (without children and only mediocre localization). Two years ago I bought the original versions and enjoyed them all over again, it was a little bit like playing Fallout for the first time again actually. Great!

All the Fallout 3 talk lately got me ansy to play Fallout again, though now I can't find my bloody disks . . . . .
Anyways, I recently started a Fallout Xbox mod, you can all visit it at the General Fallout boards. So yeah, Hi guys.

Hello, I'm Kyuu (pronounced just like the letter "Q"). Lurked here occasionally before I joined up. My actual joining was mostly in response to reading the original FO3 preview from Game Informer. My friend, who had also played the original Fallouts, seemed quite impressed, but I myself was a bit unnerved by what I saw. Came here, saw the discussion about it, read up the excellent articles on the design behind the originals, and became the FO3 cynic I am today. Yay!

Anyway, I like it around here, even though I'm pretty sure Sander hates me. Other than that, glad to be here. :)
 
Welcome newcomers!

Sander might come across as a bit grumpy at times, but he doesn't hate forum members in my experience. Don't take an attack on an argument personally.
 
Sander is a finely tuned instrument of death, and as such is only used when the need arises. He hates posters no more than a Tsunami would hate a Japanese coastal village, or a Hurricane hates black people.

I played Fallout and Fallout 2, got interested again with the new chapter being released. Anyways, hope to have a good time here.
 
Hi, i've been reading the NMA forums, for a loooong time(years), i join now because im learning english (to write) :P

Im a HUGE fan of the Fallout World (not the crappy FO:BoS :P)

So i try to give to the community some things (uploads) i have for Fallout, like the D3DWindower, some PNP source books, etc

(until i learn more english and then participate more in the forums)

Hello all, name's Damir. Maybe it's a little strange, but I'm here since 2001/2002 or something like that, just didn't want to register on your forum. First I will just say few things about me. As u see I am from Serbia, that much about my location now about fallout. I first played Fallout 2, when it got out. I had 11 years back then :D , so i thought from screenshots that fallout is some kind of arcade fighting game, u know something like punisher for arcade gaming machines and sega system, or something like that. Ofc I was fooled, they screwed me :lol: I couldn't understand the game. So about 6-7 months after that, I installed game again. I still couldn't understand the game completely, but it was interesting enough. I found out new VG genre, RPG! That was really great. Then I started looking for more similar games. Logically next step is buying Fallout, but I couldn't find it, so I had to wait long time before trying it. How time went by, I was more and more interested in adventure and role playing games. Fall in love with other RPGs like BG, arcanum, planescape (though i played it for the first time not so long ago). I like also some strategy games, like HoMM and such. So I am here now and I hope that we will have good talks and all that :)
 
Power-overwhelming (Star Craft)

I've visited this site on and off for the last eight years or so, but only became a member a short while back :shock: . I like all of the mods that you guys put up (though some are very short :? ). I have only two problems with the people on this site. One- the people who make/play mods often complain that the English grammar is poor, at best, which is true for the most part, but I have offered my services free of charge (only that I have some creative freedom), and I have written directly to the people who make the mods, but no one seems to take me up on my offer. :( And two- all of these so called "fans" :crazy: , yet it seems only a handful actually make mods (Odin,etc). Sure, most people don't know how, but I believe there are some who can but don't. I guess in times of need you find out who the true fans are. If anyone is really interested in having dialogue written or grammar proof-read, simply leave me a message or e-mail me with general instructions, such as you want X amount of choices/options/dialogue length etc. P.S. I really like (though now I am a member) that you don't need to be a member to download stuff, I hate those fakity sites which make you sign up or pay. Power to the people. :clap:
 
Welcome jacksam, if I had the time I would certainly try to help out with some modding projects, but I don't. And that goes for many others in this place, although some are doing interesting work but in secret or using their creativity in other games.

Again welcome.
