Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

My name is Neane and I am a Fallout fan.
I am currently taking Business Administration here at the Whatcom Community College here in the Puget Sound. My older brother was one of those people that loved Black Isle products a lot and he had all the Computer game verisons of Fallout and caused me to love Roleplaying. I love Fallout because my parents were from the Cold War and I grew up learning and thinking like how everyone thought during the Cold War. A time when WW3 could have happened at anytime without a notice.

If anyone here wants me to do anything, just visit:

and leave me a message, but just keep the message clean. And I do not any artwork of any kind.

Hello everybody,

The name is Mr_3ppozz, i've been playing the fallout line ever since the first fallout was released. Only recently i decided to finally try and "understand" the games a bit more and so I dusted off my disks and installed it all, only to find that nothing seemed to work like it should.

As most of you probably did yourself i started browsing for answers and ended up here and on some gamespot/gamefaq fallout forum.

I haven't actually got to finish any of the old versions, since i keep restarting trying to finish each and every quest in all places before going further into the waste....

The fallout 3 game was something of a let down, because I hoped to re-live my very first run through the Fallout world, but other then some odd flashbacks with the pipboy and nuka cola it never really got to me. I've finished the storyline a bunch of times and finally got bored with it.

Only recently have i started playing Fallout tactics and cant really see why so many people shout blasphemy when hearing or talking about Tactics. But then again, i've only finished the very first 3 missions xD

Im still looking for useful tips and tricks, especially for Fallout 2, since thats the one i've been having the most fun with :)

EDIT: Im running the Restoration Project for Fallout 2, so far as i have learned, it is a proper version as it might/should have been. I most certainly enjoy it more then the vanilla version.

Hope to learn tonnes here,

Greetings,
Mr_3ppozz

Hey guys, I joined a few weeks ago and you probably already know me by now but I just noticed that there was an introduction thread so I thought I'd drop in and say hello. :?

Thought I should probably say hello! So hello! Not been posting long but used the site as a source of info and Fallout files for many years.

I played the original Fallout first, looooong time ago, it came free with my parents new PC along with the Bladerunner game on one DVD! Pretty sweet deal indeed. I had never heard of Fallout, knew nothing about it at all and had never really played an RPG before. Infact up until then though I liked to play computer games I never had one i'd properly loved apart from Doom II. Not one that involved me or kept my attention for very long at all.

Wasn't impressed with shooting rats in a cave to be honest. It wasn't until I got to Shady Sands and met Aradesh what type of game it was, and slowly started to realise it was everything I wanted in a game. Story based and character driven. Got Fallout 2, played them again for years and still do!

Spent 200 hours playing Fallout 3 and enjoyed it at the time. Never had an inclination to play it again and now regard it with affection for the fun I had and for bringing back the series, but also in derision in many ways for its lack of substance, details- all of which are well documented.

Loved New Vegas, for me Fallout 3 was more the spin off and NV more like a sequel. Still, the great thing is that its been many years and I still love Fallout!

Sup dude$.
I'm St. Paxton. I'm admittedly pretty shitty at most games, but I love Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I'm looking into playing the older ones, but sometimes I don't really have the patience.

I wish I had a power fist in real life.

*glances to ensure this is the proper place*

Guess it is. So yeah, hello to everybody here on NMA. I've been browsing here for a year or two and finally decided to join up. I've not been a fallout fan for as long as many of the people on this board, starting with 3 (get your pitchforks and torches now). After playing through New Vegas I decided to get some of the history behind it and got Fallout 2, one of the best purchases I made in recent memory. Took a while for me to adjust to the different gameplay, but once I got the hang of it I never regretted it.

The simple immersion that I allowed myself to be drawn into was astounding compared to the more standard feeling I got playing 3 and New Vegas. I found myself caring about the characters who talked only in text than the ones who have full voices in the sequels.

Anyway, so that's my fallout experience so far. My fingers are crossed that Skyrim will show me a new engine that will improve on some of the problems that plagued Oblivion and the two most recent Fallout games.

Here's hoping I enjoy my time here. Cheers.

Hey there Saint and Chromevod. Let me welcome you both. Chromevod, if you liked FO2 you're going to love FO1.

er.. Hello I guess
I noticed this thread and felt it was rude to post without the introduction...

I'm an RPG junkie who plays Fallout as much as possible I even went as far as to make Fallout related stuff for my Sims 2 game such as a Ghoul skin and so on.

I decided to join a forum of like able people who share my interest in Fallout after all most of my "friends" play nothing but Call of duty and think that every other game isn't worth playing... so I'm here to add contributions.

PS if you don't like my contributions that's fine but don't give me an ear blistering Dornan rant and I think we will get along famously. :)

Hey all. I don't think I ever posted in this thread. I'm Wintermind, known for posting while sleep deprived and/or while drunk. Sometimes both!

I started with FO3 and then picked up the first three games from interplay when they went on sale, bundled, for $15. I've enjoyed them all thoroughly though some (FO3) fall apart without the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia. I am also getting into older RPGs and am currently inseparable from Jagged Alliance 2, though I kinda suck at it.

I tend to be somewhat outspoken and give no fucks, but that's just who I am. Especially without sleep and with scotch.

Oh and I used to post here under DirkGently but due to a mix with emails I can't access that account anymore.

Oh, and I have my own ideas for a PnP Fallout campaign/setting but other than a few relatively rough ideas and concepts, there isn't much that's fleshed out.

Hello!

I'm Elodie Hiras, a french 18 years old geek with science, unarmed and a third yet unknown tagged skill. I really like Fallout, and I'm currently writing an After Action Report of Fallout 2 (I play the game, and then write a story about what I just did. You'll find it in the fanfic forum).

What else? I use Ubuntu as my main OS, windows for some video games, study at the science university, and play tabletop RPGs every sunday. That is all.
