First time out of the vault
Hello, my name is Funnytown01. Pleased to meet you.
My name comes from a story I made in third grade. I got about 10 pages into it so it was my first long story, and my classmates at least liked it at the time. It's what I put my Youtube account as so it's extremely easy for me to remember, unlike some names that actually relate to Fallout, and I just don't like using my actual name. You can also find me on the Vault under the same name.
My entry into the Fallout series was Fallout 3, and when I saw the steal for the Trilogy, I snagged it. My first play through was pretty pathetic. It took me forever to find that water chip. I think when I found it I had like 20 days left. After a few times playing through the game I started using Per Jorner's "The Nearly Ultimate Guide to Fallout" and the one for Fallout 2. I've played through about half of Wasteland. I got up to around Las Vegas and then my hard drive got wiped. I also have played New Vegas and have all the trophies(my computer isn't good enough to run any game that requires RAM past 2006. My RAM is 500, so I can hardly play the Sims 2.) I've played most of Tactics, but again was unable to finish it for the same reason as Wasteland.
I love mods, the main reason I wish I had a decent computer so I could mod Fallout New Vegas or at least download mods. My favorite mod is Kilap's Restoration Project. I've tried to play the Mega Mod but for some reason it just doesn't work for me. Every time my game just freezes when I'm in the Temple of Trials or shortly after. (It's really annoying. I've tried like 20 times, using the Read Me, and it never works.) I've never attempted to mod myself, but I'm trying to learn to because I'm full of these awesome ideas for the game, but no way to execute them. For now I might put them in fan fiction.
I'm from the fabulous Napa Valley and I'm 13. My time zone's like 8 hours slower than the default one so expect my information to come pretty late or the break of dawn. One nice thing about the original Fallout games is they take place in my area. My Dad's from Bakersfield, or Necropolis, as it is in game.
Finally, as far as contributions to this site, I am working on a guide to Fallout: New Vegas, but it needs a lot of revising, which is why I haven't posted any updates on my blog in a long time. If my Fallout: New Vegas guide is successful I will probably do one for Fallout 3 or Tactics. I know a lot of people hate Fallout 3 here, but I think it's fairly fun, although I am thoroughly pissed off that they made Harold a tree, so no more seeing him in future games. Oh, I guess I'll put the order I like them in: Fallout 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout, Fallout 3, Fallout Tactics. Anyway, goodbye, and sorry for the long post.
